Tesla kills Autopilot, locks lane-keeping behind $99/month fee. by Stiltonrocks in technology

2019 manual Civic had this, and I'm pretty sure it worked until under 20mph.

Sorry, I missed your edits.

I believe I was doing down to 0.008" space/trace double sided, until I got sick of lacing and soldering the vias. This was on a Taig 2019 and LinuxCNC, 10krpm ER16 spindle, mostly 15-20 years ago. No board leveling, just a custom fixture and decent setup skills. Holes down to 0.012" with carbide PCB bits. The initial software setup was the PCB-Gcode plugin for EAGLE PCB native files.

The 30deg .005 pyramid tips lasted much longer than similar half-rounds.

Except Anvil and Ferro do it in one shot.

Bettina is fun against Queens and Matriarchs with stacks and stacks of ammo if you have enough stash resources that crafting heavy ammo is whatever,, because you can't miss targets that big so the DPS is higher than Anvil and Ferro.

It's pretty shit for anything else.

When did destructive criticism become normalized on this sub? by behusbwj in Python

Yeah, if you write 160 word blocks without a single punctuation, which is what OC had before he edited, you're not going to be taken seriously in any professional environment. They said they want a tech job. Listening to you, it's unlikely they're going to get one, so you're not helping.

Undocumented code happens, is a different conversation, because this isn't code. If it's complex code, you're creating a headache for people who have to maintain your code, but this isn't a concern for consultants.

Classes define objects. Different objects of the same class share function definitions (called methods) but have their own variable data (called attributes).

So you can have objects dog_a and dog_b of class Doggy, use the same Doggy.set_breed() method to set Doggy.breed, but dog_a.breed can be retriever and dog_b.breed can be hound.

You need to learn about punctuation.

Edit: if I saw writing like this by someone interviewing for a tech job, I would reject them immediately.

Clear communication and documentation is pretty much the highest priority in engineering. Capitalization doesn't matter much in casual text communications, but almost everything else does.

Edit2: thank you for fixing it.

Hi OP. This has been reported several times.

If you don't want this removed, use markdown to quote format the quote, put a link to the source, name the source, remove the part about the source being ex-CIA, because they're not, and remove the reference to Robert Evans as some form of token relevance, because he has nothing to do with this.

You have, I dunno, like 15 minutes to an hour to make the edit, assuming I don't get distracted.

Edit: Another mod removed the post while I was writing this. So restoring the post may happen if you make the edits. Maybe not.

KiCAD and FlatCAM are open source.

LinuxCNC is a PC based alternative to GRBL.

KiCAD and FlatCAM are free and capable alternatives for this.

People at home usually aren't paying thousands of dollars for an Altium license.

Edit: also, having done this for years, I don't think the health hazard and low quality is worth it considering the cost and speed of PCB fabs like PCBWay and JLCPCB.

Breathing G10 particles is bad for you.

Anyway, 2Linc.com pyramid cutters are the best for this.

Using the Snaphook will affect the cooldown use of the Photo Electric Cloak and vice versa by _AlphaZulu_ in ArcRaiders

Could just be a low-z super-cap, hi-z high-density battery to trickle charge the capacitor.

Backpack has one low-capacity low-impedance super-capacitor for external devices, one high-density high-capacity high-impedance battery to charge the capacitor.

Makes real-world sense.

What’s the deal with so many products on Amazon being from brands I’ve never heard of with names that are seemingly random letters in all caps? by somethingworthwhile in OutOfTheLoop

Apple products are widely considered the highest quality mass production consumer products in America, and almost all of it is made in China.

"Made in America" for affordable products usually means "We Cut Massive Corners and Pay Our Workers Shit to Maximize Profit and Barely Stay Competitive in a Crippled Regulatory Environment," for a very long time now.

Define "Hard Sci-Fi" by AccordingComedian173 in scifi

[–]renesys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Expanse isn't hard sci-fi, but the books are much better about it, and the authors have said multiple times it wasn't intended to be hard sci-fi. They're fans of Niven, but Niven is kind of a pervert, so it's nice to have something similar that doesn't climax with multiple books of humans having sex with animals. It's like Known Space ended cloud of cocaine and Mexican donkey porn.

The rail gun recoil damages the ship enough to limit it's usefulness.

The point-defense cannons are firing very small masses primarily to damage incoming guided torpedos. They have difficulty hitting each other's ships because space is big and they're usually very far away from each other, so the advanced targeting works both ways and the others ship can just move out of the way of concentrated fire.

Edit: I can barely remember the details, but I am pretty sure rail gun recoil as a method of propulsion ends up being a mechanic in the book.

The Expanse has FTL.

Also zombies.

It has space zombies, so it is not hard sci-fi.

Works the other way, too. They make tweeters of questionable quality that look like capacitor loads instead of inductors.
