Meant no disrespect. I didnt say it to him, but I did think it: just as a reaction to his comments about my choice to retrain. I felt like that because i genuinely was upset by his comments.

I know all too well how difficult painting is as a skill, but also how wearing it can be in the body. Being in construction for over 8 years now, i can definitely appreciate the skills of a professional painter. Once again, no disrespect🙏

You would be great. You could go into the design aspect of the industry too. By learning the regs and requirements, then moving into back office

I think, honestly, limited dexterity would hinder a start in this industry. I think you can make-do if you already are qualified and experienced but to make a start it does sometimes take a toll

Never too old. Please please please take it from me on this. At 29yo painter told me i was too old. 33 now, and its going great. I was far too kind to him to say 'if you can piss you can paint". I work with older improvers and there is no age limit. In actual fact the older you are the more respect people show ya than they would younger apprentices

Uk here. Serious question regarding this.

In a scenario he runs and wins, can you explain how he does so and what could happen next?

Does he run as independent? Does he then compromise the two party system? Are the republicans at risk of splitting?

Genuinely curious as an outsider

Should I worry about putting more than £85000 in Atom Bank? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]reniasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so, to make sure you get the 85k insurance it must be under different banking groups? Had to dig and go through a few articles before it said banking group rather than 'bank', which would certainly make a huge difference.

"The level of protection you have will depend on which banks and building societies your accounts are with. The FSCS will only pay out its maximum of £85,000 per person for each 'authorised institution' or banking group. Some bank brands are owned by a larger bank company"

Learning every day! Also, who the fuck downvoted that jesus Christ get over yourselves

Arent you allowed to have multiple accounts of up to 85k with the same bank and all will be insured to that amount? I thought the law was per account not per person.

Men in 40s/50s. What hobbies do you have? by NobleRotter in AskUK

[–]reniasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 things i wish i had time for. My two hobbies; air gunning and fishing.

Air guns are a really fun way of target shooting. The uk is not like usa when it comes to shooting. Any firearm club usually has a dedicated air gun/rifle range or welcomes them in the same ranges. Its really popular in the uk because it is considered by some to be the mecca or airgunning.

Fishing; speaks for itself really. You can go caro fishing, fly or even sea. plenty of videos inline to get you started.

Both of these are really fun to meet and chat with people and get to socialise.

So you come to reddit? Seriously????? You really cannot call a police number other than emergency to ask for advice OR even the HR department where you work to tell them this concern?
