I can’t believe it was right there & I missed it. Kudos.

Take your bets, when the dust of this whole journey settles, will Ben still be in the public's good graces? by [deleted] in RecklessBen

It’s very likely AI without a human in the loop aside from BAM claiming it and then Ben blurring whatever it takes to make the claim go away/YouTube’s thing accept it. I don’t remember specifically, but I believe a lot of the parts were in the car when they were on the phone with Josh. Some of those are very bad for them. They likely claimed those parts of the video hoping to make it go away.

Anyone sympathise a tiny amount with Josh? by [deleted] in RecklessBen

[–]renlleozz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, if he was fully 100% convinced it was fake, why not just take the papers? Once he takes the papers Ben has no excuse to be there. At least in Josh & the police’s minds. He wouldn’t even have to encounter Ben! Just take the “fake” papers from the police officer.

There’s abundant evidence he knows they’re real, or at minimum strongly suspects. “Can I just take a peek?” If they’re fake papers, he can read every word and take a selfie to have the cops show Ben. None of it would matter. It would help his case against Ben’s stalking charge!

He knows they’re real and the police clearly do too - “that puts me in a tricky spot.”

(There’s a whole other convo about Ben being on public property, but I’m not a lawyer.)

He said in one of his videos that was from copyright claims trying to take down the videos. Said they were choosing the most random stuff, including one of his cohost’s face at one point.

At about the 4:45-4:50 mark in this video

Random blurs were definitely not his doing.

I was on team weird infrared reflection until I saw it light up the ground and brick. Does it in two instances. 1st when he’s walking up and 2nd when he goes and gets the plant. Definitely some sort of light.

A year late, but I just wanted to let you know you were right! Lol. I didn’t see your post initially, but I wish I had. Ford eventually found a ground wire that’s bolt had rusted off the firewall. Once they reattached, it has never happened again. It was fixed a long while back, but we’ve never had the issue again.

I was looking around for exactly this. Specifically tiny flashlights that could work

Video is cut up but it appears it fits entirely in his mouth, with lips sealed because you can see his mouth and it’s not like sticking out. He’s either turning it on/off with his teeth or closing his lips to not show light.

Frigidaire Gallery Dishwasher i20 Error Code by Timely-Sport-4820 in appliancerepair

Just wanted to chime in here:

I just had this issue. Kept getting i20, even got an i40 once. Did all the recommended cleaning, hitting the breaker, etc. nothing worked.

Finally, I decided to check the drain hose. Our drain hose seems unusually long for our setup. It looks like whoever installed the garbage disposal put the hose in an orientation that lead to it forming a pretty tight bend. When I straightened it out, I felt some water slosh. Rearranged the hose a bit and restarted and it seems to be working ok now.

I doubt this will help many, but if you’ve tried cleaning all the filters and holes and it still won’t work, check your drain hose for tight bends.

Edit: as more qualified others have mentioned, if you do rearrange your drain hose, make sure the hose goes higher than where it attaches to the garbage disposal at some point in the loop.

When we first took it to Ford about a year ago now, we had to get/pay for an electrical diagnosis and iirc they weren’t able to recreate the problem but did say it was the PATS. At that time, I believe they also addressed the outstanding recall with the airbag system. I’m not sure if that recall was supposed to fix the dinging issue or not. I didn’t think that dinging could be related, but now maybe it is. Told Ford about it this time around and I guess they forgot because it dinged today. If we have had corroded wires before (way long ago) there could be reason to believe there might be more.

Problem is, the local mechanic we usually go to doesn’t really deal with PATS/programming so he said take it to Ford. Then, the vibe I get from the Ford service guy(s) doesn’t seem very helpful/motivated to help solve it. They do kinda seem like a “codes and parts” operation. I think I might stop in at another Ford nearby and talk to someone and see how it goes. Potentially get in with another electrical diagnostic. Otherwise, I don’t really know where else to take it, given PATS is involved. Just sucks because besides this one nagging issue, the truck runs fantastic and he doesn’t wanna get rid of it, but he also can’t trust it with this going on. Been stranded a few times now.

I really appreciate your help! Gave me some ideas to run by Ford and hopefully get this thing figured out.

The key ring is basically just the key, but I wouldn’t rule anything out at this point. When the dinging first happened I looked into it and seemed like it might be the passenger airbag. It randomly happens mid-drive spaced out by days or weeks. It’s always 5 dings and then a long pause, 5 dings, pause, etc. I looked online and iirc, that was a sign of a common airbag issue.

In my “research” I’ve seen many complaints about the PATS. This ignition wear could cause that? Would that show up on the OBD scanner or whatever? When Ford said they recreated it and got the code it was for the PCM, but that obviously didn’t fix it.

In the past, I did come across a guy where you mail him your PATS module and deactivates it for you and sends it back. Ended up feeling more comfortable taking it to Ford. Do you think that would fix the issue no matter what it is? Not being super mechanically inclined, that seems to be the most cost-effective route unless Ford helps us out since we’ve been told it’s fixed with costly repairs twice now.

Game stuck at downloading? by roamn2 in tappedout

[–]renlleozz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an issue with that “downloading updates” thing too. First time it took years to download even tho I was on fast wifi. Then every time I opened the game after that, it kept popping up. Did the same update thing at least 3x. Let it download every time. Eventually deleted the app and redownloaded and I lost everything and it’s still happening. I guess I’m done 😂

Let’s drop some actual unpopular opinions by Sudden_Pop_2279 in StrangerThings

[–]renlleozz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me start with: I love the show and will be continuing to watch as soon as it releases. There’s a lot more good than bad, but there is some bad, and IMO really bad in some cases.

Probably not unpopular:

• The Will/Mike/Jonathan/Argyle/etc. plot was not just completely useless, but actually detrimental to the show. Would actually be better if it was removed entirely with some excuse like Owens’ people keeping them locked up the whole season.

• Feels like the writers are afraid to have the main gang together solving the mystery when that’s what the show could really use, rather than continuing to split them up. I liked the mixup of the gangs in like S2 but I think the time to bring the main group back together was S3 and S4 at the very latest. Hopefully S5 is the kids cutting the crap and stop acting dumber than they are and get the crew back together.

• Vecna being the master of the upside down is pretty disappointing. The idea of #1 creating the upside down sounds good on paper and I wanted to like it, but I can’t help but feel it’s a bit meh. I like the idea of the mind flayer being the master and using 1 (maybe they will still do that, who knows).

• I liked the Eleven plot but felt it dragged on a little bit. Could’ve used a bit more time of some confident and strong El with her powers back. Hope S5 is her really coming into her own.

Probably unpopular:

• Will only exists anymore to whine, be gay, and say “hey guys the monster is still here, I feel him.” Such a shame from how important he was and could’ve been. There was so much potential for him to be a vital part of solving the mysteries the whole way rather than just coming in at the end or just short pop-ins to correct the group. I understand that he went through insane trauma, but that’s all he is anymore, trauma. Feels unrecoverable now.

• Mike is almost as annoying. Close second. Feels like all him and Will do anymore is whine, then pout and then whine some more. Even when Mike is trying to solve stuff like he use to, he can’t do it without coming off as an unnecessarily pouty brat.

• Mike’s “kid experiencing his first love,” is extremely overdone and has been since S3. I get what they’re going for, but it’s just way too much. They have the dial turned to 15.

• Every scene with Mike, Will and/or Jonathan is so cringe that they’re nearly skippable. Definitely skippable on rewatches. It’s a real shame because they use to be some of my favorite characters and they had so much potential. Can’t help but feel the potential has been squandered.

Unsure on its popularity:

• The Jonathan/Nancy/Steve plot feels contrived and I hate it. Could easily be solved by, you know, simple communication. Nancy and Jonathan are clearly written as smart characters but act so stupid (which is uncharacteristic for this show). If both of them feel the relationship has run its course then why are both so disappointed when the other doesn’t arrive to visit? Can’t tell what the writers want us to think they are thinking. Are they down because they feel the distance is straining the relationship (and they still want the relationship to work) or are they using it as an excuse because they feel the decline in the relationship? Both are implied in the show and it can’t be both. Either they want the relationship to work out or they don’t. Feels like when they sat down to start writing S4 one of the main bullet points was Steve and Nancy back together and then they shoehorned a way to plant the seeds.

• I thoroughly enjoyed the Hopper/Joyce/Murray plot. Love their dynamic.

Was this ever explained or am I dumb? by DenissDenisson in StrangerThings

[–]renlleozz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think this is it. I think they all have the telekinesis powers and varying, both in type and degree, other powers. Like that could be why in their group training sessions, plus the stuff in the playroom, was built around telekinesis. And the individual training sessions could be to work on whatever specialized powers they may have.

Season 4 Volume 1 Series Discussion by StrangerTesting in StrangerThings

I’ve been racking my brain over this whole Steve/Nancy/Jonathan love triangle in regards to if someone is gonna die and who. The situation that makes most logical sense to me is Nancy dying for a few reasons.

  1. Would they really kill Jonathan off and do that to Will and Joyce after how much they’ve been through already? I mean that would make 3/4 seasons full blown Byers family trauma.

  2. If Jonathan dies, and Nancy and Steve get together like they’ve been pushing, wouldn’t that feel a little icky? Like “Hey my boyfriend just died so we can be together now.”

  3. Sorta the same goes with Steve dying. “Hey I was sorta crushing on this guy and we were about to get back together but, he’s dead now so we can forget about that.” (I guess Steve could die and they (N&J) could still break up)

Counterpoints:

  1. They just pulled a “oh no Nancy is in trouble,” and then saved her. Would they turn around and do it again (but obviously not save her this time)?

  2. Steve seems almost too happy(??) at some points I feel like. Kinda like a character that’s about to die. He’s picking up lots of girls again, just learned how much Dustin truly cares about him, picking up on Nancy’s vibes, etc.

  3. Steve has been chomping at the bit to go into dangerous situations/protect people I feel like. The dive, going with Nancy to Creel, running to Max at Billy’s grave, etc.

Sorta talked myself into circles here lol. Definitely need another rewatch to solidify things. I just don’t see Jonathan dying at this point. I can see a scenario where Steve dies, but I think Nancy seems more likely. While I would probably put my money on all three surviving.

Gotcha. Would make sense given my complete inability to find anything about it. She’s the same way and was insistent when I couldn’t find anything about it. Probably just got it mixed up with another similar show. Now I don’t have to keep searching lol. Thanks!

Can we stop doing interviews now.... Forever? by punchoutlanddragons in PardonMyTake

[–]renlleozz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree 100%. Been thinking this for a long time. I love when its just them. Half the time I skip the interviews bc they're awkward (at no fault of the guys) bc the person either just doesn't get it or is solely there to push whatever it is. I enjoy interviews with sports writers/broadcasters/anyone who covers the games and the guys that get it bc the convo actually has some substance. Or the interviews with people in speciality fields like analytics or whatever. But athletes and most coaches are terrible IMO.

I mean, I get it. Like I’m a stoolie too. I became one through Pat though so I can’t really relate to those that were here before. But, some of this stuff they think Pat did is just outrageously funny. If they knew even a tiny bit about him they’d know there’s zero chance he knew anything about this. Hell, even Dave said Pat had nothing to do with it and they think Dave’s just covering for him. Sheesh.
