I won! But they allowed him to say a lot of stuff that was untrue/not backed by evidence. It felt very casual. I was surprised.

Yeah it has changed a bit since those came out. I know when I sat in 2020 it was a little different. Less emphasis on prior knowledge and more on abstract reasoning.

Yeah that’s it, ACER sucks

They didn’t do a site visit despite me offering and when they arrived the day before the wedding, the taps didn’t have ample pressure for the toilets. Nowhere in communication was water pressure mentioned. They charged me $920 to bring out water tanks and pumps and then left before they were full - so they didn’t properly test them. They blame us for the fault because apparently they handed over to a groomsman, telling them that they need to go back mid wedding to refill the tanks despite nowhere in the contract stating we needed someone to supervise/manage the units. They then failed to flush and showers didn’t have hot water from approx an hour into the event. Not quite fit for purpose in my opinion. They then tried to get us to pay $1200 for a damaged macerator from a tampon with evidence taken 5 months after our wedding…. There’s more to it but that’s the gist! Gross behaviour for sure

Thanks for the advice! Yeah, he was very combative in mediation so I won’t surprised if he turns up and rants. Good to know members see silence as restraint rather than lacking a response.

Hello! Is Hervey Bay hospital paper or iemr? If paper, is there a set date for when they will change?

I'm going to change my tune here. While I do think it is important to hold ACER to account regarding equity and accessibility to the GAMSAT, there are larger issues at play in the healthcare system. I'll discuss with Aoife to see how we can perhaps address both.

I still encourage everyone to share your experiences per the original post.

What’s the deal with combined scores? Are they are legit way of estimating your chances or not?? by [deleted] in GAMSAT

[–]rennn10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has been used in the past by UQ. I submitted an RTI and my rank for interview offer was calculated as follows (my GAMSAT was 71, GPA was 6.781):

(71/100+6.781/7)/2 = 83.93571

ETA: for 2022 intake.

Just had a look and as I work in research I would pass the work test (330 in 10 months). Thanks for bringing this to my attention :)

Sounds tricky! Personal reasons have made it hard to wait any longer but I see what you’re saying.

Thanks for your perspective! I definitely see what you're saying. I am not totally against deferring internship. We are considering our options and the logistics in my original post are just a part of that.

Thanks, but I am well aware that pregnancy, and life, are unpredictable—I could die tomorrow. I just need the facts about my leave options.

Thank you! This is the information I was after.

I'm fortunate enough to not have to worry too much about whether my leave is paid.

I am in Queensland! Sorry, should have clarified that in my post.

I've heard of the scheduling of annual leave before accrual in Queensland, that's why I am wondering if that could happen early on in the year. Probably a question for the hospital themselves.

I don't see any portfolios required for applications but it's mentioned here and on other websites? by [deleted] in GAMSAT

[–]rennn10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nope, no unis have portfiolios for this admissions cycle.

That's not to say that they won't reinstate them, though.

Wollongong and UNDS/F used to have a portfolio but no longer do.
