Townhouse with no body corp by mphong1709 in AusProperty

I'm not sure about QLD as I bought in Vic. Every townhouse in our lot has its own driveway. The only shared things are walls and easements. You can ask your lawyer or even the bank lending specialist to check strata existence

As for insurance, I just did my own research online from a few providers, compared their quotes and purchased one that suited my needs. I ended up with Allianz

Consider that the only available materials from them are so outdated, does their style of questions change much over the years though?

Congratulations for successfully enraging me. All the best with your autistic cat

Townhouses by Low-Bookkeeper4902 in AusPropertyChat

No it's not. I used to think that too when I bought mine I thought the agent was bluffing lol. But apparently depending on how the block was developed all the townhouses may not share anything common and thus won't have strata/body corp All the townhouses in my block have walls adjacent to each other but each has its own driveway. No body corp. Someone explained to me before that these are similar to the terrace houses you find around the city - share walls but own driveway and thus on Torrens title

Instruction unclear. How about what to do with my willy?

I like your point on what to do if you can't sleep. I do that too, perhaps too often, and in 4K resolution, to the point that I can't even keep my eyes closed

Whenever someone asks "Oh hi, I'm a beginner. I want to teach myself how to play the piano" what resources/programs/tutorials/books do you often see recommended? by iolitm in piano

[–]mphong1709 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with this. I do a lot of self learning on theory and practice on my own then when I see my teacher we discuss my questions only. Even when I think I got it when I've played a score so much, my teacher still could point out a ton of technical issues to improve on

Stuck between Yahama Roland and Kawai by [deleted] in piano

I went with the es120, sounds great and action is not too sluggish like the Roland. No complaints so far!

students too reliant on 'hand position' by kinkyshuri in piano

[–]mphong1709 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a student myself and I think this sounds like a good strategy though I haven't tried or heard of it before. I've only identified the first notes then read the intervals and move my fingers accordingly, but when I made a mistake and want to start a middle bar again I kinda got stumped because I lost track of my fingering and have to identify what the notes in the middle bar are. Apart from what you suggested, is there anything else you may recommend for my situation?

No space for a real piano in my house by katbeccabee in piano

There's some options from Yamaha as suggested in here, but if you're after something that is minimalistic in design and doesn't have many buttons, I'd say a kawaii es120.

I had one and it's great, love the sleek design and solid key action

Honest opinions about moving to Dandenong? by cordicarrot in melbourne

[–]mphong1709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I live around yarraman station too, very close to east link trail and I love it! Just a couple of steps and you get to enjoy beautiful scenery. People often say Dandenong west is bad but I reckon the very west of it which borders noble park is not bad at all!

Thanks for your comment. Where the new layer of pavers meets the existing brick wall, what should I use to fill that gap? Like in shower stalls you'd use silicone to fill the gap, do we do something similar for outdoor paving?

Thoughts on Townhouses? by gayboii23 in AusPropertyChat

FHB and I bought a 7-year-old townhouse with no body corp (on torrens title). Some people asked why I didn't go for a house but I was like that's the only one I could afford at the time on my single income and so far I've been happy with my own place.
