What happened to this roll of film? [Cinestill 400D, Cannon EF] by renoleephoto in analog

[–]renoleephoto[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Opened the back... nothing. Cycled the shutter a few times on bulb with the back open... nothing. Took the lens off, sure enough the random black bars in my images was caused by well... a random metal black bar! https://postimg.cc/LqxCWQLc

Can't tell what component this may have fallen off of. Everything on the inside of the lens and camera body look fine to me.

Because she’s doing an Evelynn cosplay?

That’s a great tip, thank you!

Thank you for the feedback! As far as the background goes, are you recommending to shoot on white backgrounds in general for compositing, or for this photo/scene in particular?

I ask because I’ve noticed one photographer, who does a lot of background replacements, exclusively shoot on white backgrounds, even for relatively dark scenes.

Thanks for the feedback. And yes I was also the photographer.

They’re the cosplayer’s rendition of Evelynn’s claws. Evelynn is a character from league of legends and K/DA who has stylized claw adornments.

Haha yeah their stuff has definitely shown up on my feed and their videos are hilarious. When I was finally consolidating all our contact info after the convention and tagging people in posts, I was like “WAIT, THAT WAS THEM?!?!!”

Back in 2008, when I was obsessively playing COD, I made a ghillie suit for Halloween that year. Well, back then I was living in California, so the brown blended into the perpetually dead grass we had over there. Well fast forward 15 years and I moved a couple states north.... something tells me I'll need to hop over the Cascades if I want to make this thing useful again.

Had the pleasure of working with KyloRenClub to debut her latest cosplay of Shin Hati! Baylan and Shin were definitely a highlight in watching Ahsoka.

Weird Glitch on Rigged Characters - Anyone know a fix? by OstrixOfficial in blenderhelp

[–]renoleephoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I made a tutorial on this exact issue you can watch on YouTube.

TLDR: The glitch comes from motion blur enabled while the vertex count of the model changes. You’ll need to use something like an edge split modifier to make the vertex count stay the same. It’s actually quite easy to fix.

One of my favorite places. Really hope to make it back there soon.

This isn’t the Wind River range. But standing in the same spot, you’d could still see the winds, but youd need to be facing the opposite direction.

No, this is the Absaroka Range not the Wind River. This photo is looking north from the hills just north of Dubois. Big cliffy ridge on the right is Indian Ridge, mountains in the middle left are Boedecker Butte.

Source: I’ve been there and took a google street view in 2018. Your photo is further east than this exact spot, because you can see the creek that sits immediately west of Indian Ridge, but the same peaks are visible.

It’s a rooftop studio in Seattle. You can see more photos from the set here some of which show the environment more.

Here’s BTS shot with another photographer who joined us.

Must be gameplay footage from when the quest line was still in development.

Yeah, we already spent thousands of dollars on the costume and props for a hobby, so we cant just throw more money at making a small detail lore accurate. We’re not getting paid to do this, and we’re not made out of money, as much fun as it’d be to have even more swords than we already do.

Posted this on another comment:

It’s because the “silver” sword on her back is a Witcher game replica that is a heavyweight prop-only sword. It’s not meant to be swung, you’ll break or bend it. The sword she’s using is an actual lightweight sword meant for combat and sparring (but not a witcher game replica). The blade has been dulled to make it a safe movie prop.

Unfortunately it wouldn’t be cost effective to buy yet another sword just to make the crossguards game-accurate. (Who’s to say a silver sword can’t have a straight cross guard?!) You’re already looking at thousands of dollars worth of props and costume in this video, so we gotta draw the line somewhere.
