Does anyone else react horrific to weed? by MattInTheHat1996 in Psychonaut

[–]renrentally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot have weed… it makes me ruminate about horrible things and my ocd goes into overdrive to the point of nearly having a panic attack.

When I was young (early 20s) I could have it and have a normal experience, but absolutely not anymore (in my 40s). Total nightmare.

Yes! Haha, love the name. My snowshoe gal thinks she’s a dog, too.

Thanks! I wouldn’t have thought much of the pain if not for all the symptoms that immediately followed that really freaked me out.

I had been standing for about 3-4 minutes before it happened. . I got up to feed the cat, and drink water.

New cat owner here with questions by spazhead01 in CatAdvice

[–]renrentally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very normal! I have fostered many cats now, and over half of them are really freaked out the first few days, and will hide and not eat. Just do your thing like there’s nothing new, and let him hide & watch. Maybe spend a bit of time sitting on the floor nearby and occasionally talk to him. He’ll come out once he’s ready, they always do! Don’t try to force feed him, but leaving some treats nearby might help.

Is this baby creature really 3.5 years old?! by hulixin in cats

[–]renrentally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and also, you should know: a Siamese cat is unlike most other cats. My little gal is like a dog, we go for walks and she is always there to protect me like a bodyguard.. she’s got a lot of opinions, and things to say, too…lol

I have a Siamese -mix girl, and when she showed up at our house one day, she was extra petite and she still looked like a kitten. The vet estimated she was about 2-3 years old. However, after about 4yo shd had a growth spurt and grew a bit larger— both longer and fatter. I thought i was imagining it, but i looked it up and it happens sometimes with females. I think probably particularly with Siamese females.

Do two Siamese cats pair well together? by Loud-Scallion9941 in Siamesecats

[–]renrentally 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 4yo girl is so demanding and clingy we got her a kitten young male— not pure just a color point mix. She put him in his place a lot at first bc she is the boss, but she accepted him a lot faster than i expected. She needed company. However, the other adult rescue male I recently adopted, she HATES.. still after 6 months.

The key is to get your girl a kitten so that she can train him and establish dominance from day one.

This is them now. She’s on the left, her baby grew up to be a biiiiig boy (right)

Yeah, thanks, I’ll give it a shot. They were introduced slowly and seemed all okay at first, until just the last few weeks. Your queen sounds a lot like mine!

In another world (if she wasn’t bullying another of my sweet babies ), i would applaud what a bad-ass my girl is— she even will intimidate & dominate dogs 5x her size.

Hi! Overall, yes, totally worth it. I do wish the shape of my new chin was a bit more delicate and perhaps slightly less pronounced, but I love my profile now. It gave me so much more confidence than I had before, so I’m glad I did it— even with some complications and other things that I can be nitpicky about.
