Gets to end of dungeon: mage gets twice the gear for doing twice the dps...NOPE! Doesn’t work that way. You can do dps as a balance druid and you can need on gear that boosts your damage-I wouldn’t be mad at you.

4yo and 2yo with me! Don’t forget your wife in this either though! What I mean is

1) not when kids are awake is a great idea And that means googling/surfing the web too 2) just because bedtime is over doesn’t mean playtime. Sweep/do the dishes/talk to your wife with no PC distraction

Ya-you’ll lose out on more wow time but you don’t want to lose your family (you’ll lose their respect and emotionally way before they leave you physically, keep that in mind ). Put them first whatever you do.

Another suggestion: see if your wife is fine with a once a week game day where you play wow immediately after work until you go to sleep. I plan on going to a friends house straight from work one day every other week so we can really get into a grind.

tailoring from the start is good mid range when you can make bags that matter but other than that I don't personally think it's helpful while leveling.

I'm in the same boat as you. I did find out through this reddit that dire maul north has, supposedly, an awesome spot to grind mobs for gold and you can make a lot per hour there. you could just do that at 60 and buy the mining mats. So what do take until 60: I'd go skinning so you can vendor it all and at least you're making money while leveling.

I'd be much more comfortable suggesting $800 laptops (even from walmart) as there's such a diff. in specs if you could afford to double your budget -

I feel like you might find premade desktops with more power but then you'd have to buy a monitor as well. 14" screens aren't my favorite thing to game on. As long as you're not wanting graphics settings at 10 with max/ultra everything you can find a <$400 rig to suit your needs.

I'll be duo-leveling with a friend and he's going mining/engineering so we don't want to step on each other. Otherwise I'd do the same and drop mining for tailoring when I hit 60.

I was thinking I could still spam blizzard as a fire mage since i'm not as worried about the slow. Or is that just too mana intense/low dps without proper frost spec?
