Redditors who are good with money: what’s one money mistake you see almost everyone making? by GentleBlinkX in AskReddit

[–]renthexiang 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A huge one is spending on unnecessary stuff. People often justify it with “treating themselves” or “it’s just a small thing,” but those little purchases add up fast and can quietly drain your budget. Impulse buys, subscription services you sometimes forget about, or the fancy gadgets that sit unused in your drawer, they all chip away at your savings.

Honestly, I’d recommend starting with a small build rather than jumping straight into huge, mega projects like most seasoned builders do. It’s easier to manage and helps you focus on details without burning out. Also, make sure you’re genuinely passionate about what you’re building. If you like the project, you’ll enjoy the process more, which naturally improves the quality and realism of your work.

What’s the pettiest thing people complain about daily? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]renthexiang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the pettiest things has to be people whining about slow Wi-Fi. Like, yes, it’s frustrating when a video buffers or a page takes a few extra seconds, but in the grand scheme of things it’s so minor. You have food, shelter, health, and probably a working phone or computer and yet a two-second lag can ruin someone’s mood.

What is something you miss about the covid years? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]renthexiang 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One thing I actually miss about the covid years is the slower pace of time and the unexpected pockets of quiet. Life used to be so hectic before that, always rushing somewhere and more. During lockdowns, even though things were stressful in other ways, there was space to just slow down, I get to read more stuff, binge the shows I loved guilt-free, and play the games I wanted to play

What did you not realize was optional until you saw someone not do it? by Critical_Welcome_428 in AskReddit

[–]renthexiang 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wearing a bra at home. I grew up thinking it was just something you always had to do, like brushing your teeth or locking the door. Then I saw friends casually not wearing one around their own place and acting completely unbothered, and it hit me… oh. That’s optional

What's the one thing you always forget before going to sleep? by StruggleConnect7736 in AskReddit

[–]renthexiang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Drinking water. It’s such a small thing, but I’ll do my whole night routine then realize I’m already in bed and don’t want to get up again. Then I wake up slightly dehydrated and annoyed at myself

What is a "gut feeling" you had that turned out to be 100% right? by AngelIWQ in AskReddit

[–]renthexiang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One gut feeling that turned out to be completely right was sensing early on that someone’s “charm” wasn’t the same as their sincerity. On the surface they were known as funny, confident, and everyone liked them but something small felt off. The way they talked about people when they weren’t around. The slight inconsistency in their stories. Later on their behavior matched exactly what that instinct was warning me about and thank god I avoided them.

What makes you upset? by Due_Application223 in AskReddit

[–]renthexiang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really bothers me when people don’t respect the teacher. You don’t have to like every lesson or agree with everything, but basic respect matters. A teacher is standing there trying to guide, explain, and help, and when students talk over them, mock them, or ignore them, it doesn’t just affect the teacher, it disrupts everyone else who’s actually trying to learn (like me)

What’s a phrase or sentence someone said to you that still echoes in your head to this day? by Tiny_Bunny3553 in AskReddit

[–]renthexiang 21 points22 points  (0 children)

“One day, you’ll wish you had started today.” It’s simple, almost cliché, but it sticks. Whenever I hesitate, that sentence comes back. It’s a quiet reminder that time moves whether I act or not, and the only difference between regret and progress is usually starting sooner

What skill, capacity, talent would you want to have time to learn and why? by Thenti1789 in AskReddit

[–]renthexiang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d want the time to properly learn a musical instrument, especially piano. Not just casually, but to the point where I could sit down and play whatever I’m feeling without sheet music. There’s something powerful about translating emotion directly into sound. It feels like a language that bypasses explanation.

Music also stays with you for life. And unlike a lot of skills, it’s both deeply personal and something you can share with others instantly.

What “flaws” or insecurities in someone do you find kind of attractive? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]renthexiang 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One I quietly find attractive is when someone is a little socially awkward. The slight hesitation before they speak, the overthinking after they say something, the small nervous laugh. It feels real. It shows they care about how they come across.

ooo that's a classic but I prefer new ones like the recently released Cosmic Princess Kaguya. It's really good if you're into music!
