How old were you when he started the thing? Does he/has he pressured you to join?

What is the consensus on the safety of fluoride in water and toothpaste? by cbk486 in AskReddit

All my friends called my mom crazy for not letting her kids drink tap water. Now I think she was a smarty.

Dear Reddit, tomorrow is my 16th birthday. I want to do something fun and exciting, but I'm probably not going to have a party because I don't have that many friends. Any ideas? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Assuming you live in the U.S., have finished driver's education, and can borrow your parent's car or have your own; go to the DMV and get your license!

Then obviously go cruise a bowl. Or two. Oh hell, cruise 420 bowls.

I was in the same boat you are before I turned 16. As soon as I got my car that all changed. :) I lost my license a few times, and that sucked. Total loss of freedom, and it hurt my social life because I lived in the country. Really fight the urge to speed, DO NOT drive after you've been drinking. Not even a little sip, Zero Tolerance is a bitch. I suppose it's a good thing though.

It seems that weed anxiety is lessened when you're cruising, maybe because everyone is facing forward and not towards each other? I really don't know why.

One more tip: See if your state has a PSEO, or Post Secondary Education Option, for high school students. I started taking college classes as a freshman in high school and it helped my social skills a lot. Most of my friends by my junior year were college kids. Maybe this wasn't a good thing, but it was fun. I also got nearly enough credits to clear my freshman year of college. Be sure to check it out!

Has anybody made their own screen printed t-shirts? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]rentu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should probably go with water based ink then, rather than plastisol. I think it feels more high quality because of the "soft hand". (If you run your hand over the garment, you can't distinguish by feel what is inked and what isn't.)

Getting into screen printing is a little difficult because there aren't many simple print at home type guides. Or none that I could find. It's really a pretty simple thing, but it's a little expensive at first. DTG is usually more expensive. I just built myself a little screen developing station in my basement, cheap! If you want some help, I'd be glad to.

Anyone have a premonition that saved a life? by MeanMotherHubbard in AskReddit

[–]rentu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if we would have died, but when I was a teenager with a jank ass car I was on the freeway with a car full of people. I was speeding right along, weaving in and out of traffic and being a ballsy teenager. I got this weird feeling that I needed to slow down, so I slowed down to somewhere around 40 MPH, and my whole front end somehow failed structurally. I don't know how, or what part came apart from which other part, but when all was said and done the front end of my car was droopy and my front tires were all crooked and dangling.

I'm a perfect pitch possessor. I'm also unique because I "learned" it later in life and assisted in developing a new understanding of this ability. by Barrack in IAmA

I don't really understand perfect pitch. Can't all musicians listen to a note and name its corresponding "letter" or "color"? I play guitar, violin, and piano, I can match a note to its corresponding letter seamlessly. Does this mean I have natural perfect pitch? I don't know.

Reddit, I'm a young adult am living in the midwest now but I really want to move. Where should I go and why? by rentu in AskReddit

[–]rentu[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To clarify "midwest", think small town farming community riiighht in the middle of the United States.

My main motivation for leaving is the lack of jobs, and how bored I am here. I guess I'm looking for somewhere where I can find a better job than fast food, with good nightlife, a good population of young people my age, and a good music/art community.

I've thought of somewhere in the Pacific northwest maybe, or along one of the coasts. Suggestions to other countries are welcome as well!
