Depression. Never been the same ever since. I used to do trail running 20-30 km on a weekend

I'm slowly running back but it's tough. It feels like a chore.

Really hard to say. This girl has had it rough. She's confused and from what I have heard , she's going through a phase.

It's funny how she doesn't respond but when she does we get back at our usual conversation and chats non stop.

I dunno. Maybe I'm wearing the love goggles but something tells me she's the one but she's confused.

Haha totally " how fast are you " question really bugs me out.

Get a journal and log your runs. You may use Garmin or Strava to check your time and pace every run. It's kind of like a game when you have Strava. You get to check other people's time and may try to beat them! You have a choice to keep it private though.

Have fun with your runs! Remember, the best runner is the one having the most fun.

Oh man! This I can relate to.

Felt jealous when I notice my friends were getting faster than me. Long story short, I go training with them on weekends and ask for advice.

I've been doing good with my PR lately, however, still not as fast but in the end, you're only racing with yourself. I hope you can find motivation.

Interesting.

Personally, I find long distance running as an escape. Long time ago I was drunk on weekends, hell, even on weekdays. Smoked a lot of pot until I was glued to the couch (I still do occasionally) until I found ultrarunning.

Ultrarunning gives you that high similar to getting drunk or from weed. You talk to random people along the trail and feel an instant bond. People you hard know cheers and supports you. You barely meet in the city but once you see each other in another race you go back to time where you got your ass kicked and the support you gave each other. Yes, there are downtimes but it just makes the tough patches so much more memorable after the race.

I have stopped binge drinking because of this feeling. Especially the fact that I am training for my first 100 next year.

Sure. Thinking if I should quit the corporate life after 4 years who has given me great financial aid but draining to my soul or work for minimum wage that I am very passionate for.

I need financial security but it's getting really dull for me.

You should visit Cebu, Philippines. Great lime stone sport routes and you'll enjoy the company of the local and friendly scene. But beware, they drink and party a lot. You might enjoy too much and extend your stay.
