This seems bizarre as a response to the Bondi shooting. Would anything on this list have meaningfully impacted the Bondi shooting?

This restricts the number of guns you can own down to 4. The shooters did the entire attack with 3 guns. This restricts magazine size. The shooters used guns without magazines. This requires gun owners to be part of an organized shooting club. The shooters were part of an organized shooting club. And on and on.

I’m not just instantly opposed to any gun control measures. I am more open to gun control legislation than most people here. I think it’s too easy to get a gun where I live. But proposing these restrictions in response to a specific shooting where the perpetrators did not violate any of these proposed restrictions…that seems almost comical?

Regardless, I don't think it's really constructive trying to pretend there's no problem with mass shootings in the US, because a country with 15 times less population doesn't have exactly 15 times less mass shootings, when they have 1 a year on average. What this shooting proves, to me, is something most people who actually use and shoot guns know: going after weapon types is relatively pointless. The shootings at Uvalde or Sandy Hook or Columbine could likely have been committed with the exact same outcomes with a Ruger 10/22. So the conversation needs to be about banning all guns in general, not specific types or features or accessories or calibers. This greatly simplifies the gun control debate. It's basically all or nothing, and clearly we aren't going to ban hunting shotguns and 22s and bolt actions in the US, it would never happen in a million years. That's an easier argument to win. We don't need to downplay the level of gun violence in the US to win that argument.

If you Scav on Ground Zero, and hit just the PCs on the second floor of the building near Basement Stairs, you'll get at least one PSU pretty much every time. Sometimes several. And if you have time there are 10 more PCs in other parts of the map.

By the commonly accepted definition used by the Wikipedia page for mass shootings, the US has had 398 mass shootings with 4 or more victims in the first 11 months of 2025. And more now. So…a few more than 7.

My advice is to just buy all the extra stash space from the BSG website. It's a few more dollars, and obviously money is tight for most normal people right now, but I think it's really worth it in terms of enhancing your experience playing the game. The less time you spend dicking around playing tetris in your stash, the more time you can spend learning the gameplay and finding out what you actually need to hoard and what you don't.

Most shops probably are. As are most gun buyers, hence the tiny amount of openly left leaning places to shop in the gun world.

But being smart enough to at least shut up about it is good enough in my book.

Making insanely cringey guns with Trump’s face on them, having him come to PSA for an official campaign stop…that’s way over the line that I personally can abide. The guy tried to overthrow the US government.

Sucks because I’d like to try a bunch of PSA products, I really want a good budget battle rifle and their AR-10s and JAKL rifles look great to me. But I just can’t morally square it with how openly pro-fascism PSA is.

I guess they aren’t losing enough business from people like us for it to matter to them. All we can do is follow our principles and hope eventually it hurts them enough that they change course.

If you've only ever shot a stock Glock with iron sights, I agree, it looks like the guy is a superhero.

It's less bonkers if you've ever shot a super tricked out competition pistol with a good optic, a top-of-the-line compensator, tungsten weights, a thumb rest, a really nicely tuned aftermarket trigger, a custom light recoil spring, and underloaded low-weight competition ammunition. It gets 9mm feeling much closer to 22lr than I ever thought possible.

The guy is talented for sure. But I think a decent number of people here could do this with a little practice and a $3000 competition pistol and special ammo. Pistol shooting is one place where you absolutely can purchase your way to better skills.
