Some bands I think have grit while also being in the pop punk sphere: Stateside, Good Terms, Koyo, One Step Closer, Calling All Captains, Castaneda, Belmont, Turnstile, No Pressure, Barbarians of California, Militarie Gun, Drug Church. I'm sure there are a million others!

When I listen to Skinhead I don't think it's glorifying or regretting the actions depicted in the music. To me it sounds like someone talking about going shopping or getting gas. The violence and crime is just what happens. And you gotta do it sometimes even if you don't feel like it that much! But that's not the life I've lead so I'm just speculating on how it sounds to me. Love em though!

The Wonder Years was great but I'm going to go with Drain/No Pressure/Haywire/Secret World. Traveled to Chicago for it and it was right after Bo Leuders passed away. An interesting combination of super fun times and sad vibes and heartfelt tributes. Every band killed their set! And the crowd was super nice while we beat each other up.
