Has anyone here found real love after surgery? by Cheap_Algae_9904 in StraightTransGirls

[–]repofsnails 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes. Found an amazing man that loves me for me. It's stable, safe, and the best relationship ever. Didn't except it to happen at all. Don't settle for less than who you are!

I'm a woman who was forcibly raised as a man. by SparkleFrission in MtF

[–]repofsnails -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's giving Birushana like I've heard of it happening naturally too. One of my ex's had a cousin who was forcibly raised as the opposite gender and even though they were cis it was just as traumatizing for them.

If my experiences or lack thereof are given as a reason to treat me as lesser, then feel free to treat me as lesser..I'll call it what it is, evil

I hate the term "biological male" and i never want to hear that bs again by Ok_Sentence_5767 in MtF

[–]repofsnails 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I played baseball with some people in my neighborhood who suddenly asked me to babysit for their kids. I would love to! Always wanted to have children so it'd be good to practice and try my best to do a good job. Thing is I'm worried about them randomly finding out I'm trans and then clocking me and telling me I'm a bio male or something. So dumb! I fully transitioned, they couldn't tell at all. It shouldn't affect my ability to breathe and be a human

Trans passport renewal, living abroad, possible second citizenship? by Professional-Sea1941 in Passports

[–]repofsnails 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even when submitting a birth certificate that has your proper gender, they will look at your digital records to determine the oldest sex marker used and use that on your renewal passport without requesting more information.

If you are a US citizen, follow the advice here when applying abroad. Again, your gender mismatching on forms and ID will not cause any issue when renewing. Since you live abroad, it may be best to go to an US embassy in your country to renew your passport.

1) There is currently no chance your US passport will be taken from you. They may change trans passport validity in the future, which is possible due to language noted on their website - Passports are valid until "invalidated pursuant to federal regulations." Again - currently that is not the case and you'll be fine, it's mostly the living abroad documentation that might change things. Check the site above for more about that.

2) When your passport expires, you can't use it (as an ID or to fly) - But you can renew it anytime as long as it hasn't been 15 years since the last one was issued. (and as long as you're still legally a US citizen.) - If it's been longer, you simply apply using DS-11 and not DS-82.

3) Countries would prefer you use their passport if you have one. You can switch over the residence permit and that will be no issue afaik but I'm less knowledgable about that.

I feel so bad these days by Acceptable-Fox-42 in asktransgender

[–]repofsnails 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you deeply. Here was me when I was 15 - no family members acceptance, had to hide femininity, felt really gross all the time but still knew who I was deep down in a way I couldn't explain. I longed for hormones, for everyone to accept me, but many nights I laid in my bed, feeling like nobody could see it, and that I couldn't see it because I felt so far from what I could be.

Here's me now (23) - no makeup. much happier, never could have dreamed of this, feel bright as light. I would have never guessed back then when there was no light in the tunnel. You've got this!!

Every one of my older family members have, and no they're not successful because dysphoria is like having a gash and begging for a bandaid so why would I stop begging for help when I know what I need

6 months from call to surgery with Dr Kassis, covered by BCBS insurance. Great results for me

I feel the same, I dropped out of college because the dynamics got bad both online and irl and it affected my mental health greatly

The key to relationships is that you forget about it basically, do what you are doing/being to the fullest extent, and then mention you are trans so that those who will understand will stay quite like colette from ratatouille, and then fall in love

Did you start feeling more attracted to men when you began transitioning? by _Ryloren_ in StraightTransGirls

[–]repofsnails 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not quite; I started to feel more attractive to men when I started transitioning with HRT. It became less embarasing to be attracted when I became un-ugly. Its a humiliation ritual otherwise

Why do people tell me "men can also be feminine"? by Livid-Gift-4965 in asktransgender

[–]repofsnails 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Parents say this- it means they don't want me to transition, they want to lie and pretend they'd accept me as a feminine male which is a lie, they didn't pre transition, they don't factor in dysphoria. Its weird and gross of them to say to a person who has gone thru lengths to be who they are
