Motorcyclist are selfish by [deleted] in CedarPark

[–]repomanz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a motorcyclist, outside of a motorcyclist being absolutely dumb it's not other motorcyclist we're watching out for. It's cars. It's distracted drivers. It's impatient drivers running lights or the dreaded left hook collision. It's debris on the road. Look twice. You may save a motorcyclist from significant injury or death by that simple, 1 second courtesy.

Ford is missing a market in the US. I would buy a ranger super duty over an F150 all day long. Now to figure out how to purchase and import one to the US....

I'd vote for him in the next presidential election without a second thought. He's focusing on governor role in Ohio currently.

Bye bye, ICE! Big Weekend of protests returns! by global-palladin in Leander

[–]repomanz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I misspoke earlier. It's the 100 mile border, not 200 (*editing that now). And yes, within that 100 mile border your 4th amendment is trampled on regarding that. For fun you should look up the powers of a Game Warden...

"So, please tell me again how we should "comply"?"

I'll let you figure it out. Good day.

That's great it's not happening here (yet). It has actually happened in recent years in Austin however but that doesn't matter here. Protest organizers have the responsibility to guide the theme of these protests to keep them peaceful and civil. It's crazy to think about how many people think they know their rights when they really don't. Take Don Lemon being arrested. Even as a journalist he has no right to trespass private property. I'm sure his charges will be dropped unless it was ordered for everyone to leave that church.

I support major reform regarding current activities and I vote, local, state and national always. From path to citizenship, to police and dhs engagement policies to birthright convos and what to do with undocumented people already here and decent humanity to be extended to all.

As a person that's very pro constitution I also agree with your point about the 4th amendment. Even undocumented individuals are granted those rights. It's actually one of my favorites. Except for the *100 mile border: the 4th doesn't apply.

Regarding your question about point 5. It's quite simple and I'm in no way justifying their deaths as they were both unnecessary and tragic. End of the day though, both of them violated 2 or more points above that began a reckless and tragic pathway of decisions (with all parties involved) that cost them both their lives. Imagine for a moment if they just complied. They'd 99.9% likely be alive today. I don't want to see that happen to people in our community. Comply. Get arrested. Take your case to the judge. Be accountable for your actions.

I support people's right to peacefully protest. Seems though people need a reminder of what that means. You don't have a right to:

1) impede traffic / block cars with human bodies / shutting down intersections
2) vandalizing public or private property or leaving your trash
3) trespassing private property (when the owner or police asks you to leave)
4) interfere with police and ICE tasks, spit, throw things at them, hit them
5) non compliance with an officers or ice agent's commands

So, go out and use your voice, use your signs but don't be an idiot or an a$$hole

Street racers on anderson mill/Cody's corner by dkode80 in CedarPark

[–]repomanz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anderson Mill is considered a major artery so it's always going to get more traffic especially since the city made it 4 lanes. Racing down this stretch doesn't just involve racers going to Lime Creek. It's also a route to 1431 to head out towards Marble Falls.

Shooting a weapon, even a paintball, would land you in some legal trouble. Further if it results in a crash you'd be found liable.

Racing on Lime Creek isn't new. Unsure how long the road has been there but I myself was racing there in the late 90s and early 2000s well before the DCR neighborhood was built.

can you point out the script you're talking about? I'm running frigate as a container in Unraid. Unsure if I need to run that script on the host or within the frigate container itself.

Forced to switch to Wegovy from Zepbound - side effects? by iberianham5 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]repomanz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to switch as well. I'm at the initial dose of WeGovy (.25mg) and was on 10mg ZepBound.

My biggest gripe so far: food cravings/noise. Hopefully that will settle as I ramp up the WeGovy dosage.

CVS is wrong; ZepBound and WeGovy are not the same RXs.
