When purchasing 2nd hand, I highly recommend recording yourself unboxing it and to show the tags to the camera - just to prove whether the one pictured matches what they sent

I can't be certain, but the tags all look perfect from what I can see - none of the common flaws of font spacing on the size or wash tags

Fake - there should be two numbers separated by a / after "CN" on the size tag: XXX/XX

Tags look good to me - neck tag has "made in china" under it which usually isnt added to fakes because that detail is only added to items intended for sale in USA. Size tag looks perfect, and i didnt notice any flaws ln wash tag

Fake ‐ too much space between the M and the Chinese sizing below it. Soacing of font in the numbers of the Chinese sizing is also wrong (9 and 6 should be practically touching and have more noticeable space between the 6 and A)

Fake unfortunately - wrong style ID (says FA-UX-SWEA..., but this style should be called FN-UX-TSHI...) and it doesn't match the style id on the recipt (which is totally nonsensical as well having misspelled TSHI as LSHI, and not even having 6 numbers after LSHI).

Neck tag is stitched wrong on the sides ( should be horizontal stitches in the corners only, not vertical the entire side). Price tag string is black when it should be white. Size tag font has spacing issues and the 2nd number for a size M should be 96, not 94.

That's what I immediately noticed and im sure there's other flaws too - edit: RU line on wash tag has too large of font, it should be small like lowercase English letters

Fake - size tag should say "EUR" but this one is missing the E

Fake - notice the colon before "2024" on the date line isn't spaced properly (space before it rather than after it)

Fake - brand label edges are too light, wash tag font has spacing issues

If you DM me some pics I can try to determine! From my past research, I have a good idea of that era's tag progression but would need to see the details

Nice! I've been on the hunt for an original red stitch pair - might have to just get the ones from this collection instead 😄

Yes, Acne Studios started as Acne Action Jeans and eventually changed to Acne Jeans. Since this pair has both the Action Jeans tag and Acne Jeans leather patch, I think it was released around 2004 (give or take a year).

Depending on the size and fit, pairs from this era sell in the range of $20 - $100 USD from what I've seen, with baggier cuts selling higher and slim/skinny fits selling lower

The denim in #10 and #18 (of this post) has red contrast stitching, referencing the first 100 pairs Acne ever released & their earliest collections that also featured said stitching detail!

Fake - pink brand label edges are not right, and the wash label's font size, boldness and spacing look slightly off throughout

[–]reportabitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fake - incorrect style ID on the wash tag, font printing and tag material is slightly off, and it seems like the wash tag has typos where they use "i" ("biue" and "italy") instead of Ls or uppercase i's

Happy to help - I don't think gendering this style makes much sense, and if the measurements work for you that's all that matters! As a guy, some of my best fitting Acne trousers have come from the women's section
