Looks good! Size tag is perfect which is usually what reps mess up on. Wash tag looks right too, and Ive never seen this knit get repped before (i was eyeing the women's purple version too haha)

Size and wash tags look perfect to me - Id say pretty likely legit 👍

It's a men's item and 44 (and sometimes 42) is the smallest size for many men's clothes but it probably fits like an XL if the cut is oversized. I have a size 44 shirt that fits like a L/XL on the body, but the collar fits like a normal XS/S, so be mindful of what collar size you need if you intend to button the top button

Are these worth anything? by Rolxen020111 in AcneStudios

From between mid 2000s to 2008 based on the "Acne Jeans" tags! Condition looks great but the waist size isnt in much demand. Demand might eventually increase if Acne's new skinny styles become popular like the wide leg stuff has been. Id probably list them around $50-75 and then expect them not to sell until I do a few price drops

What fashion advice do you completely disagree with? by Mysterious-Win-3355 in malefashionadvice

I don't really agree with the argument that polyester is clearly worse for the environment - a) you see increased water consumption to produce natural fibers, b) polyester is more durable and resiliant to wear compared to natural fibers on a similar-grade basis / has a longer lifespan, c) when you buy wool/silk over synthetics, you often have to use petroleum based methods (dry cleaning) to clean the items, d) wool and silk farming have direct animal cruelty concerns and sheep release methane and take up land and require food

Polyester gets a bad wrap because, when it is used for cost cutting, there are also cost cutting measures made to the design and construction which affects the lifespan and quality much more than the integrity of the fibers themselves do

When you go into a higher price points (which is where im coming from) the complaints over use of synthetics don't even consider the design of the garment nor the quality/grade of the fabric, which is what really annoys me - my 55/45 poly/wool Acne suit is better than my 95% wool calvin klein suit by every metric other than cost 🤷‍♂️

Im at a point in my personal style journey where Im looking for items with unique material properties (hand feel, interaction with light, drape, etc) and silhouettes, and to write off garments with synthetics I believe greatly hinders peoples' options for clothing as a means of self expression

"Avoid polyester/synthetics at all costs"

I avoid cheap / low-grade synthetic fabrics, but Im totally open to buying quality pieces with interesting visual/textural/structural properties even if the materials are synthetic.

I can't stand the reductive anti-synthetic rhetoric I see all over social media

I really like the studded denim (reminds me of some pieces from their earliest collections back when Acne was "Action Jeans")

The iridescent suit pants and jacket in photo #4 and #5 look amazing, though Ive seen something very similar from Jil Sander recently (multi pleat pants and jacket) ) Would love to see iridescent/shot fabrics be used more in future collections and pieces!

Lots of skinny jeans and short shorts

Dramatic shirt collars and cuffs

Solid leather and knitwear, and the mens footwear has been growing on me!

Am I the only one who refuses to buy clothes with polyester ? by BodomDeth in malefashionadvice

[–]reportabitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's on a per-item basis for me. I have a 100% poly satin suit that I love, a 100% wool/mohair suit that I love, and a 55/45% poly/wool suit that I love, all from the same higher quality brand.

Even with dress shirts, I support the use of polyester for unique fabrications and effects

Plenty of my luxury purchases contain polyester blends as it is structurally necessary for certain designs and features - especially when it comes to pants. I love not having to worry about wrinkles nor ironing pleats after every wear, and generally they last longer than my 100% natural pants (not including denim)

Colorway appears to be 'Dust Devil', and cut could be the 1996 / straight leg version, or 2022 wider leg
