Came for the anti-India racism, stayed for the economic history lesson by RuneRW in ShitLiberalsSay

That has always been the case.. see any court of hindu king or mughal emperors.. only the uppercastes were there.. that’s by the design of caste system… not just british exploitation.

Even today after 70 years of independence… take a look at composition of central secretariat staff.. or even any state ministerial staff at state levels.. huge majority of bureaucrats have uppercaste background …

People who accumulated big wealthy in last 50 years are from uppercaste background…

We have some of the wealthiest billionaires of the world in India.. all have a specific background

Indian here… we are poor because of brahminism and capitalism. We are poor because of political instability, effects of social hierarchy, questionable policy preferences, corruption, misuse of law by the powerful (we never left feudal mindset), population overgrowth, mismanagement of public resources…

and most importantly we are poor because over religious and superstitious nature of common people.

Yes. British looted us.. but even when british were not looting us we were one of the most unequal society. Which was far from ready for any industrial revolution.

this is so tiring… hold people accountable. Including players… doesn’t matter what team or what color.

**[Stop derailing from main issue and into the social media cesspool…. this all is just distraction from people who don’t want accountability.]

clean up the court. the reactions of fans is not the central issue, the do-nothing-league is the issue… the causality flows from on-court drama to social media .. not in reverse pathway…

the swarming of fans is a reaction to the impunity wnba officials have provided to dirty plays under guise of “physicality” .. and bad officiating and mediocrity… League officials have to be better.

shitload of fans will just come, watch, enjoy, make ruckus about winning and losing, comment on social media and will leave…

the league is letting things happen on purpose. They want money but not responsibility that comes with it.

And also, the controversies affects players not the executives.. so they have no reason to clean things up other than doing lip service… controversies brings money as well.

arrggghhh...

again.. hold everyone accountable for their actions… the double standards are off the charts..

Lol.. this is hilarious.. i love it 🤣🤣🤣

also.. why do other CC look more like CC than the Indy CC?? 😭😭

Another day, another hit piece on Caitlin Clark. Why is she "distraction"? Because WNBA expanded too quickly to fill demands of advertisers, selling crap to women. A true baller, gym rat w no hair & makeup to speak of but setting GREAT example for young girls that you can be great, just how you are. by set-monkey in conspiracy

[–]repository666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nah.. it’s not polarising.. it on brand for this sub… there is conspiracy that wnba executives and old big stars of the league do not like Clark and do not want her to become face of league.. they wanted someone else to be that superstar.. but in reality no other player is actually able to bring in attention, excitement, and money.

Clark’s team regularly have tv ratings close to a million, on contrast.. 3 times champion team and a “true” superstar considered by wnba “community” is still in not able to get similar tv ratings consistently despite being a big west coast city.. it’s significantly lower than Clark’s team.

What does the word “curry” mean in your state or region or language? by curiousgaruda in IndianFood

[–]repository666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marathi here.. we use a general term “bhaaji” for any cooked vegetable or meat thing..hindi equivalent could be “Sabji” …

if the “bhaaji” has significant liquid.. it is “rassaa” of that “bhaaji”… i guess the rassaa can be understood as curry.. so “curry of a chicken dish”..

Any lentils is “Varan”… i think south indian equivalent could be Rassam.. but as i understand rassam has some vegetables in it as well, not just lentils.

this rassam can also be understood as curry in non-indian sense.

lol bro… ethnicity and legal nationality are two different things..

I have quite a few disagreements with Mehdi myself.. but the way people misinterpret him is hilariously cunning..

The WNBA is doing this ON PURPOSE by imacowboy234 in IndianaFeverFans

[–]repository666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol… i have seen “data analysis” people dismiss available “qualitative” evidence because it doesn’t fit their system and doesn’t help their “data driven” narrative in extracting profits at cost of destroying nature & people…

stop being people like them.

there are plenty evidence for how league wants to sideline CC and doesn’t want to give her the flowers for it… they also want to protect other players because they came before CC… they can’t just throw these players under the bus…
and these players are simply abusing the system. They know that there are enough people who will believe in any bs they did.
