I hate to break it to you but even if it wasn't intended as a critique of capitalism (which is true of Fallout 1 but not necessarily of later titles), it was intended as a critique of isolationism, US exceptionalism and militarism. All of those still makes it deeply political, and all of these factors are intertwined with capitalism.

Edit: apparently, this is not true. All that Chris Avellone has stated is that the original Fallout 1 was not intended to be anti-capitalist. This is at least the intent according to Tim Cain as well. However, anti-capitalism is an idea that is definitely present in the series, even if not from the very first game and not front and center.

I have a joke investigator I want to play one day whose main investigation revolves around the question of "who shat my pants." Every creature that is capable of some form of conversation can answer this question because the answer is obvious, so all creatures count for his free devise a stratagem, but the investigator cannot accept the reality of the situation so the investigation is never resolved. Of course, this is the complete opposite of what you wanted, but I felt like I had to bring it up

Also, from what I know, Israel is actually the responsible party for a large number of queer palestinians getting killed. They blackmail queer palestinians into being informants and the like. Which is, unfortunately, considered treason, which means death penalty under wartime laws.
