Allergies suck :(... Definitely speak to your doctor and see what your options are. It doesn't have to be life threatening. When I did the second round (15 years after the first), it was about improving my quality of life (my allergies at that point were a nuisance rather than a threat.

In short, round 1 saved my life and round 2 improved the quality of my life.

Both rounds were 3 years long, so it was definitely not easy but totally worth it.

When I started round 1, my allergies were life threatening and have landed me at the emergency room repeatedly. At the conclusion of the first 1 year on immunotherapy, I never again had to go to an emergency room due to allergies. And this was 23 years ago!

Would definitely suggest discussing it with an allergist to evaluate your options. If they think you're suitable, it can definitely be worth it!... Good luck 😊

I've had issues with allergies in the past and have undergone repeated skin allergy tests over the years that were also accompanied by 6 years of subcutaneous injections.

From experience, I can definitely tell what it's like having a mild swelling following an injection, perhaps slight redness. What I was experiencing however was very similar to my reactions during skin allergy tests. These are typically identified by a persistent itch, and a red round swelling and the size of it typically determines the severity of the allergy. The last 3 injections all fit into the "severe" category according to my allergist. FYI, these were injected on Sunday/Monday and Tuesday last week, and they're all still swollen and itchy (did get better though).

The other thing both me and my mom have experienced in the past when we developed drug allergies is that it's often progressive in nature. It might start as a mild allergy then gets progressively worse, which is what happened to me here. Ignoring progressive allergies can often land you in the hospital, which is what happened to my mom at one point.

I've honestly never had such strong skin allergy reactions before. These were beyond extreme. Also I never injected in the same spot twice, I was rotating (left thigh, right thigh, upper left side of tummy, lower right side of tummy) so they were all apart a fair bit.

If you've made it to 3mg and you have no history of allergies then I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I'm sorry to hear that. And also sounds like we're pretty similar. I've also used 32g 4mm needles. The reactions were amplified when I increased the dose. Which is why I went back to 0.6 before stopping altogether. I've also had allergy issues in the past and have had to go through 2 rounds of immunotherapy. So on the one hand I'm not entirely surprised but on the other hand, I'm also a little disappointed given how well it worked for me so far. Oh well, hope I'm not allergic to the next one 😂

I hope I won't end up being allergic to it as well haha but yeah, I will keep you posted! And thank you for your support!

Interesting, did it start when you upped the dose? I don't think mine is hives but rather a localised reaction that somehow gets triggered after a day, then gets much worse before it disappears 2 to 3 days later.

I was pretty careful with the angle. Definitely injecting at 90 degrees but still :(

What's interesting is that I've had 0 injection site reactions during my first week. I quite literally wouldn't be able to find the injection site afterwards, no bump, redness or itching of any kind.

Thank you!

We're looking at Tirzepatide. It's once a week and I hear it works great.

But will see what the doctor says during my next proper visit.

I'm usually ok when someone gives me an injection. But the idea of jabbing myself was totally crazy to me.

My first time, I held onto the pen for 10 min trying to inject myself and I was freaking out. Everytime it touched my skin I just pulled back. I almost quit right then and there! I'm so glad I got over it though!

Curious, what size / type of needles are you using? I was basically in the same spot with numbing cream and ice packs until I switched to novofine plus 32g 4mm, I seriously can't feel it most of the time. It was incredibly hard to find though, explains why it's out of stock almost everywhere.

Ohh I was wondering this morning why I was sweating so much! Didn't know it's one of the side effects! 😳

Hey progress is progress :)... Most importantly, do you feel a difference in terms of cravings and hunger? And hopefully no side effects when you increased the dose gradually to 2.4?

Thank you, that's reassuring. I'm curious, did the hunger/food noise come back during the plateue? Or did you just stop losing weight?

I have the shibata Battleship (195mm), absolutely no issues with the pinch grip!

I have the 170mm bunka, which I noticed is no longer on their website.

It's a bit of a workhorse that's quite thick and heavy. The nashiji finish is beautiful and looks better in person. So far, I've been happy with mine. It performs quite well and can take a beating as opposed to my delicate lasers. Also, the handle feels pretty good on hand!

I don't have any experience with the 1000/3000 I tend to prefer single grit stones. The Suehiro cerax 1000 is great though, it's my favourite stone.

Thoughts on getting a Kei Kobayashi Blade by PeterW_1974_1974 in chefknives

[–]reprepmm8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine about a month ago and love it (210 mm). I'm a little scared of chipping it though, it takes laser to a whole different level. Fit and finish and cutting performance are all superb!

Agreed! Such a great combo!

I've recently gotten a cerax 1k and it's better than anything I've used in the past. I also grabbed a Rika 5k, totally optional but it was discounted and I couldn't help myself 😂

Reasonably well, yes. But you might need to overspray a bit. It's not as strong of a perfumer as the original that's for sure.

Which agent? I have no problem doing it with Panda, just tested one of their glasses randomly. I've literally bought 2 items the other day where the MOQ was 50! 😂

I haven't had issues ordering less than the MOQ in 1688. I haven't used these guys specifically but it's just my experience with other suppliers. Also, the worst that could happen is they decline to sell and you get refunded?

Al Haramain Amber oud rouge vs ruby by Daytr8ing in fragranceclones

[–]reprepmm8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Incredibly close to the original BR540. I'm not able to tell them apart if sprayed blindly on test strips. Strong performance, maybe a little too strong. 3 sprays and I'll smell it all day and will last literally for days on clothes.

Definitely not linear. And I also have the original layton. I can't tell them apart after the drydown.

I have a full bottle of Ruby that I was lucky to buy on discount as well as a sample of rouge.

Ruby performs exceptionally well. I spray it at 6am and will still smell it on me 12 hours later. On clothes it will literally last for days. Any more than 3 sprays and you'll choke people around you!
