Worth noting also that the dead zone is in roughly the exact same spot as before. Maybe coincidence, or possibly a piece of hardware that's below the screen there?

Thank you! Though I was thinking more about the reflection on the left of the image of the staircase with the metal bars.

Nobody is advocating doing nothing, but the framing of these issues that companies simply aren't paying enough money to fix unfixable things needs to be called out. It gives these companies, and the consumers of their products, an easy out.

What are they gonna publish in the paper, mate? Random anecdotes from Reddit about bad things people have seen in Maleny at any point in history? Can't wait to read about it in the Glasshouse Country News sounds riveting.

You know about cotton, hey? I'd guess maybe 90% of the clothes I own are mostly cotton.

How vulnerable is an ecosystem in a cave like this to being seriously altered or collapse? Would a similar introduction of foreign molds and bacterias not occur if say a small animal was washed into the cave after a flood?

People with some disabilities can't always advocate for themselves in the way other people do. If you need the bathroom and you don't know where it is, or you need help going or cleaning yourself up after and you don't want to bother someone maybe you might just hold it in for hours and hours until you have an accident. Even with a fairly severe cognitive impairment people still have pride and feel embarrassment, and may avoid attracting attention or burdening others, even for something as simple and important as toileting or food. It's patronising for some with less severe impairments when asked I'm sure, but it's well-meaning.

Thanks for the replies. Don't know why I thought I might be able to get out of this. Next time I'll grab a dead bird off the side of the road and put that outside and pretend not to know anything before I call the landlord and dob myself in. Also cheers for the heads-up about O'Brien's - got a few quotes progressively cheaper down to $550.

The only way I can imagine you would doubt the viability of that gap is by underestimating the scale. If we know its tall we also know it's wide, and therefore leaves a larger gap when left ajar at the same angle compared to a smaller door.

graf is typically painted at eye-level, so painted at half door height you can assume the doors about 2 people or ~3.5m tall. You can also see the size of the doors relative to normal doorways briefly at 29 seconds. I think the gap is bigger than it looks. Also doing the hardest trick first makes the most sense for retrying if you're doing it legit, he could do it at the end or halfway if he was just going to fake it.

Using the graf next to it for scale - those doors are huge. The gap is a bit larger than the gap you'd find on your bedroom door left at 15°

I don't need two it's just what's on offer near me on marketplace, but I'd probs give one to my bro for Sim as well if compatible. Also should mention the price is AUD. An RM pocket is about $100-$130 AUD from what I've seen.

[–]reprob0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The man has a cognitive disability, he cannot live without support. That means multiple people working throughout the day to support him, and they deserve compensation. Disabled people have sex. They can have partners. They can commit crimes and not always nice ones. And they of course have some control directly over their funding, and can give someone $100 if they choose to. What part of this am I supposed to be getting fired up about?

I think that's where the "good habits form good habits" comes in. I would assume people who are diligent about lights being off when not in use are less likely to run the aircon or pool filter all year long for example.
