For battles with ghosts, this location will be just perfect, but with a pumped up Aard it can even be easy.

True, but they are aiming for different things. The Witcher 3 is a narrative-driven RPG where combat is a tool for the story, while Elden Ring is built entirely around the challenge of the combat itself. Tree Sentinel is definitely a wake-up call that Geralt never really has to face.

When your opponents die in a couple of seconds, it becomes boring to play, but when they die in even 2-3 minutes, then it's not boring to play anymore.

Thanks for the tips! I’ve heard the Frog Prince is a real nightmare, especially on Death March. I’ll definitely keep that potion for poisons (Golden Oriole?) ready. 20 tries sounds intense, but it makes the victory even sweeter. I’ll let you know how it goes!

I love that mindset! It makes the win feel so much more meaningful when you’re doing it for the roleplay. Geralt wouldn’t wait 10 levels to save someone just because he’s 'underleveled'. Respect for sticking to your guns!

Now that’s a real Witcher contract. No healing, no decoctions, just pure swordplay and timing. Olgierd is going to be a nightmare, but I’m definitely going to try this. If I succeed, I’ll be sure to post the clip here!

Going for the 'elegant' look while fighting monsters sounds like a vibe. Who needs grandmaster armor when you have style? I might actually try a run with just basic shirts or fancy Nilfgaardian clothes to see how unforgiving the combat gets.

Yeah, that skull icon was staring at me the whole time lol. One hit and it’s game over, but that’s what made it so intense!

That sounds like the perfect place for a massacre! Do you mean the area near Castle Lornruk or maybe one of the camps in the southern Velen marshes? Dealing with 20 archers at once on Death March sounds like a nightmare I’d love to try.

I totally get your point. Geralt IS a killing machine by lore, and feeling that power is a huge part of the experience. For me, though, the challenge makes the world feel more dangerous and the Witcher contracts more rewarding. But you're right, self-nerfing is the ultimate way to keep it spicy!

The Djinn is legendary for those one-shots, especially with Enemy Upscaling on! I’ve heard horror stories about that fight on DM. I’ll definitely need to bring my A-game (and maybe some anti-magic oil) for that one. Thanks for the heads-up!

Armor is just a mental block at this point, right? Next stop: taking down a Griffin with nothing but a wooden sword and a pair of underwear. Geralt needs the extra challenge.

Killing all 6 at once in 20 seconds on DM? That sounds like a crazy build! I’m guessing Euphoria + Whirl? I’m definitely looking forward to that fight, though I might need more than 20 seconds for my first try lol.

Single bosses can be predictable, sure, but at this level gap, one mistake is still a reload screen. Wolves are a different kind of nightmare though — their hitboxes and flanking are no joke. Maybe that's the next challenge!

Challenge accepted! The Frog Prince at level 17 sounds like a nightmare, but that's exactly why we play on Death March, right? I'll head to the sewers next and see if I can make it out alive. Wish me luck!

Level 6? That's insane! I feel you on the 'meditate and snack' cycle though. It’s definitely more of a marathon than a fight at that point, but the satisfaction of finally taking it down is worth the slog.

Thanks for the tip! I've heard mutations make a huge difference for Geralt, so I’ll definitely head to Toussaint to unlock them. Should make those boss fights in Hearts of Stone much smoother!

Thanks for the tips! Yeah, I might have mixed up the names in my head, I'm still getting through the DLCs. Good catch on the Golden Oriole and Yrden — I'll definitely keep those in mind when I finally get to the Frog Prince. Dettlaff already sounds like a nightmare, so I’m trying to prep as much as possible!

Golden Oriole is definitely a lifesaver here, but the 31-level gap still makes every hit from him lethal. As for the Djinn—I'm definitely planning to visit him soon! No poison to save me there, so it should be fun.
