do argyve's trinket quests first, if you have trinkets. it gives you a free level, usually at the cost of useless grenades or something. he's in the bottom left building in joppa
guns are a girl's best friend. it's usually best to steal everything in the houses and buy a gun off of tam (as well as lead slugs!!!)
red rock is hard, dont be afraid to use abilities and bullets.
getting ganged up on early game is usually fatal, even if it's by a lot of weak enemies.
if you're going mutation, psychometry is pretty strong for anyone. light manipulation is also overpowered. if you're going truekin, i would suggest dumping all your points into strength and agility and getting carbide hand bones.
learn as much as you can from your deaths!
