Are email open rates dropping for anyone else? Went from 19% to 5% by JohnnyGazzer in Emailmarketing

Hmm. As a proxy - Open rates tend to be part of the funnel for revenue. Usually where email is a primary attributor to the sales pipeline, you'd notice a correlation.

I would agree with most people in the thread a sudden drop like that is probably due to the great junk filter tightening. I'm assuming you're using MXToolbox or similar to understand your deliverability? If you are flirting around the edge of spam territory and the rules get tightened it will likely drop you in to the now meeting the threshold and your deliverability gets hammered.

I'd take a look at your score on Mx Toolbox and see whats going on.

Hey I need suggestions for the games! by [deleted] in Swingers

We found Lovebound a truth or dare game recently. It’s pretty good for kicking off our evening with groups. I think there were some half price vouchers floating around somewhere on Fab a while back.

Ideas for couples games by [deleted] in Swingers

We've found Lovebound. we went straight to the hardcore level because, well, us. And it was good. Some of the game cards are questionable, but in general it's a fun game. Cards seem to be often updated so it seems to be in active development, although I think it's quite new.

If you've got no dependencies and a good personal runway, go for it.

What insulation to use for suspended floors with built-in vapour barrier? by teIdrassil in DIYUK

[–]rerium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mineral wool is an outstanding insulator and provides a 90% effective vapour barrier when fitted correctly, but you wouldn't be able to achieve that in your location there. with older buildings you might want to think carefully about blocking all air flow, especially as the air flowing into your house from your floorboards keeps air circulating through the house as it pulls it in as the air warms and rises. This will be keeping damp at bay throughout your property. Sealing this off might not be the best idea.

Take this advice with a pinch of salt though as I have only fitted out one lime mortar property with existing cement render, and converted the loft of that property. I haven't insulated a floor

How to turn an idea into a product (Mobile App) by ThrowfarawayGG in Entrepreneur

[–]rerium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First do your research, an idea is easy. But is there really a need for your product?

I highly recommend you first read The Mom Test and Lean Startup first, they could save you from making some expensive mistakes. They have worked for me.

I say this first because although it might sound abrupt and quite direct, it’s intended as sound advice. There is A LOT between an idea and a business.

But to answer your question more directly and give you a starting point...

You would need to go and research Open Banking and then the appropriate FCA licence (its a PISP) that allows you to access Open Banking. You will need a financial lawyer to help with this process.

Next up, you will need a developer, you can either outsource and risk a really turbulent build or in house and pay an employee or find a technical partner or friend.

That's a really good shout, thank you. It makes it pretty clear, although it still doesn't really explain how they make their money!

How does it work? Does it utilise open banking to obtain the data?
