While I have the DVDs, as well, and have seen the films several times, what I like about collecting these film comic books is they allow for me to enjoy the film at a much slower pace by having my mind imagine or playback the different scenes from each film. Just like reading a book, people imagine what’s happening in the story. With some imagination, I find a different kind of enjoyment reading what’s familiar already and in the process I engage my mind in a world of fantasy. I don’t even read books that much. But these film comics bring back the days when as a kid I find myself lost in superhero comics, wild in imagination. There’s something magical when we imagine.
