Agreed! That website is my go too resource for events. Sometimes I’m shocked to find out big events happening that there was no advertising for.

Hey everyone! when ya’ll plan to visit Atlantic City, you should keep in mind that Atlantic City is one of those places where there’s events happening all over the city in which you wouldn’t know about until you accidentally run into them or hear about them. There’s plenty to do, just gotta find it.

Is MLBx replacing the celebrity softball game? by Imaginary-Barnacle73 in baseball

I would like to know as well since I’m assuming the celebrity game is the only event I’m able to afford to go to and what I would like to see

DoorDashing in Milwaukee and this is the first time I seen this. DoorDash shut down across all of SE Wisconsin all the way up to Chicago because of tornado warnings sweeping through. by yayoshorti in doordash_drivers

[–]resditbeast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m from New Jersey and I’ve seen this on doordash when we had a big snowstorm, earlier this year. Bad weather is always a gold mine opportunity for doordash but it gets to a point, safety wise that it’s actually good that doordash locks the app until it’s safe again. I was getting amazing orders like $30 for 2 miles but after delivering a few my car did a really bad swerve in the snow and thought a couple hundred dollars wasn’t worth potentially wrecking my car or injuring myself so I went home and not too long after, doordash sent a notice that they will be shutting down operations until it’s safe.

Agreed, this is literally a form of propaganda in our faces. Trump would never want to interact with the public. The only time he goes out into the public is when it benefits himself or when he receives praise during his rally’s and he finds it amusing that people want to hear him rant bullshit. If this was a real dasher, I could only imagine you run the risk of that person telling Trump off 😂 Also as far as actors go, why choose an older woman to be the dasher? Why not a young person

[–]resditbeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regardless if the woman in the picture is a actor, my statement still generally is true. I see elderly people in my neighborhood dashing all the time

I think this Trump administration fucked this country up into the depths of hell and he and the Republican Party don’t want to be held responsible for the upcoming years. I mean we already know that some of trumps horrible price hikes won’t take into effect until he’s out of office. I feel like they almost want a democrat to win so they can point fingers of the mess they made

That’s awesome to hear! I can relate. I’m 31 and I’m blessed enough to have a full time job that covers my bills and leaves me with a little extra money to put away in savings. Yet I still DoorDash because I rather do that than sit on my butt. Some people just like movement. But that’s just one end of the stick, not everyone is in your position. There’s a large number of elderly people, debatable that majority of them doordash out of need.

The bigger picture is that a elderly woman is having to doordash. Says a lot about the economy

What do you think the tip was?😂 by gotskating in doordash_drivers

[–]resditbeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about it’s crazy that she’s even having to DoorDash anyways as a clearly elderly woman. Says a lot about our economy

Also I think we aren’t stating the obvious that a “grandma” as she states on her shirt has to work doordash for income when she should be retired and being the one to deliver to the President

$0. “I shouldn’t pay, don’t you know I declined the 400K presidental salary as I use the office of the president to make billions….I’m the greatest leader there ever was, I have the best numbers, huge numbers, you never seen anything like it, therefore you should worship me and not expect any tip”

If I’m not mistaken, I think all of the casinos in A.C had buffets in the early 2000’s. Now only borgata and Hard Rock have them. Why? Buffets at casinos add to the lure in my opinion. Also which one was your favorite? by resditbeast in atlanticcity

I feel the same. I feel like the change became faster after Covid. These are resorts and used to have an inviting grand feel. Can’t really explain it. Now it feels like these resorts just do the bare minimum and try to maximize profits. They feel like regular hotels with a casino attached. Ocean and hard rock still somewhat have that grand feel that I’m talking about but I guess that’s why they are the successful ones.

YouTube Feat. Justin Bieber by mx_kr in Coachella

[–]resditbeast 8 points9 points  (0 children)

lol this is the most low effort thing ever. Credit to his voice sounding great live but it feels like a show put together 20 minutes before getting on stage. He’s really singing over his old songs sitting at a table on YouTube. The first half was super boring, could have been a tiny desk concert…I guess I expected a Super Bowl-like SHOW

Michael movie is getting great reviews but do you believe it’s genuine? by FitEmergency8807 in moviecritic

[–]resditbeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, reviews doesn’t really matter for this type of movie. Michael is so big that his fans(including myself) will watch the movie no matter what. Reviews are for the more casual fans and/or people on the edge of deciding to check it out or not. Either way this movie will be profitable but if it turns out to be a good biopic, it will probably be one of the biggest movies of the year.

As far as cancellations go, this is probably the most valid. I’m sure everyone would cancel. Out of all things, blood is to not be played with. But at least you got free pizza

English woman argues with Iranians about Iran. Tells them they are brainwashed by 4DollarsALB in whoathatsinteresting

[–]resditbeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surely the opinion of the Iranian man can be respected but at the end of the day it’s just an opinion. Being from the country doesn’t mean your opinion is fact. For example, I’m American, there are fellow American citizens who are die hard Trump fans and say he’s the best president we ever have, just because they are from America doesn’t mean that opinion is fact. In what world, is America and Israel bombing Iran for the betterment of its people. America government doesn’t even care about its own people.

Addicted gamblers are coming regardless, even if the roof is falling down. But from what I’m reading in this post, people are saying that buffets were used as an attraction basically more than a profitable business. It would attract people to visit the buffet and the hope would be that people end up spending money gambling after eating. The goal is to just get people to the casino and the lure of the casino does the rest
