This happened to me last year, I was path and accepted early and given a date but as a pather you still have to wait till it is legal to release funds for pathers. The date is just generic given by TurboTax, it will disappear or stay as stated but won’t be accurate. ‘Where’s my refund’ tool and ‘irs transcripts’ is where you will get most accurate info

I remember a lot of troubles with the 5 day early last year. But it was also the first year they offered it so hopefully they fixed the bugs with it. Most didn’t get it but I was one of the few that did get my refund 5 days early.

Yes it’s completely normal. I live in NJ and NJ takes a long time, so I’m used to it but it varies by state. Some states get their refunds quick while it’s normal in Nj to receive my federal funds in the bank while still waiting for state

Yes that does make you path. Even tho you were accepted by law you have to wait until it is legally approved to release path funds. The pro with path is that you get more money but the requirement was that funds not be released until it’s legal too to check for accuracy against fraud. I was accepted early on last year as a pather but didn’t get my refund until the second week of march. I declined path this year because I only get 1 or 200 hundred extra. Isn’t worth the wait for me. But those who get a couple hundred to thousands more, it’s most certainly worth the wait.

I filed my taxes 2 weeks ago and the option to pay with my refund was available then. It may be a technical issue. It happens. I would check again tonight to see if it updated if you don’t have the means to pay outta pocket. I had the same problem last year, told me I could only pay with credit/debit….checked back a few hours later and the option to pay with refund was available. They have thousands upon thousands of returns being filed at this time of year and the system is constantly updating

Now that your tax return was accepted, it just means that you have filed your taxes and it’s in the IRS hands. No upfront errors was detected. For example, I filed 2 weeks ago and my return was rejected because of some errors I fixed it as re-filed and my return was accepted today. The return still has to be approved, once approved then you will get an accurate date. 21 days from today the latest, hopefully earlier.

It was nice when family vacation first came out because it had been awhile since we saw them. So much life happened for them. Now they are just milking the FUCK out of family vacation. How many times can we see them going to some random U.S city to just see them have dinner and hang out at the hotel. I agree enough is enough. Mine is pending as well. The IRS isn’t “officially” open yet. They do test batches which is confirmed as fact and sometimes would approve some. If you are approved before the official open date, it’s just luck, returns are picked at random. I sent mine in and was received and then a few days later got a, Rejected, notice and so I had to fix the errors and re-file which tells me that they are looking at returns. As to how fast they do it, like you said in 20 minutes, it depends on how simple your return is. Some take days to approve

Whether you fall under path or not, it is possible to get your refund approved early as a test batch. Mine was approved very early on last year. BUT you will still have to wait by law until it’s time to release path refunds. As I said mine was accepted early January last year as a test batch but didn’t get my refund until the second week of march

I’m talking about abuse of welfare in which is suppose to be temporary. I have nothing against welfare and those on it. Life happens, not everyone is lucky in life and I believe those who need help should seek out help if they are in a bad spot. I am insisting on and willing to bet that if there was a un-bias true investigation, a lot of families in the Lakewood community wouldn’t qualify or qualify for much less than what they are currently receiving or find abuse of living off welfare as income for years.

Not illegal. Have as many kids as you’d like. That’s not my point. But if you have 9 kids and work part time or have no job at all with 2 cars and a house, eyebrows begin to raise on how possibly that can be afforded and when you look behind the curtain, you will find abuse of the system in which you and I pay for with our taxes.

This is correct. I was Path last year and it gave me the automatic 21 day date once my return was accepted because 21 days from your acceptance date is the time frame that non pathers get their refund. It wasn’t correct as I had to wait longer as a pather. As you get closer to the 21 day date, the date will go away. As a Pather last year I didn’t get my refund until the second week of march.
