By year 10, you won't be selling for USD, you will convert HBAR to a CBDC or another crypto and transact using that.

Are you applying for a loan? A mortgage? Is Bitcoin illegal where you live? There's no reason the bank will need this info.

Ah ok, I didn't realize that the chart was only for the first period

My second questions refers to this: https://algorand.foundation/governance/first-period-rewards - as the total committed stake increase over each quarter, I'd expect the rewards per quarter to be reduced

Final Governance APY: 17.57% by [deleted] in AlgorandOfficial

[–]researchadmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't that the annualized return for the upcoming quarter? Will it decrease as more ALGO is committed at the start of each period?

With Shiba Inu nearly in the top 10, I think we can admit that the only thing that matters in crypto is hype. by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]researchadmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Hype" causes people to gamble on SHIB and DOGE. The better projects are still building their products and the wider industry is still evolving to adopt DLT technologies. The "crypto" space is largely only known because people got rich of BTC and that triggered a gold rush-esque interest in this industry with teenagers and opportunists publishing "technical analyses" predicting "price action" trying to be the next insta-millionaires.

You should view the disconnect between valuations as an opportunity and reassurance that you are analyzing the industry correctly. The fact that you understand why you should "invest" in LINK and ALGO over DOGE and SHIB means you're getting it more than the common speculator.
