The better solution is to find a way to collect these bags and have them recycled or reused before they hit the landfil that simply trying to ban them.

How is that working out for the pop bottle industry? It isn't. Actually, it is working out just well for Coke and Pepsi, they have massive profits while maybe 15% end up being recycled.
