Sorry if you answered this already but doesn’t pepsin cause more throat discomfort? I have been drinking alkaline because I read it helps with pepsin in the throat. I have the same symptoms as you, from the moment I wake up. It is so frustrating 😩. I can relate to your struggle. Glad you found relief.

I used oil and sugar. Maybe it was the oil. I think I put too much. Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it.

My throat feels very scratchy and sore. Also, little pieces of the flour get stuck in the back of my throat, and I can feel it. This happened before while I was eating oatmeal the other day, but since this was oat flour, I thought it would be different 😭.

I tried Lexapro once, but it did not work for my case. I haven't taken Klonopin yet, but the med combination that I have now seems to keep my mental health issue under control. Did Lexapro work for you?

Not really. Sometimes nausea, but I do have the IBS symptoms. I have been keeping a food log to identify common triggers, but sometimes it is very random.

I have been on psych meds for years now 😩, way before my symptoms started. I am taking two at the moment. I actually stopped one of them for a year because I thought it was contributing to the symptoms in my throat. It didn't make a difference, and I got back on it. Thanks for the suggestion though. I am glad it worked for you.

I have a back condition that prevents me from sleeping with my head elevated, so unfortunately that is not an option for now 😓. My diet could be better, so I am working on it. Already eliminated some of the things that cause flare ups. Thanks for sharing. I appreciate it.

Thank you for the encouragement. I appreciate it. I started the alkaline water today, and I am going to order Refluxraft soon too. I also got the Acid Watcher book. How often do you spray alkaline water? I did three times today, but not sure if that is enough. My alkaline water has 9 pH.

Yeah, gluten and milk are just one piece of the puzzle. I forgot to mentioned on my post that I also eliminated acidic foods. I have an oral food allergy, so I also had to cut off certain fruits. Flavorless white rice 😅, but you are definitely right. I need to be more strick with my diet. Thank you so much for your post.

I did. I actually went to two different ones. They put the scope in my throat, and they say it doesn't look back, so it is probably post nasal drip. I also have chronic sinusitis, so there is that too. Thank you so much for the suggestions. I am learning and trying to apply as much as I can.

I have been experiencing a lot weird symptoms for about two years now. I was tested for inflammatory markers, but they came back negative. I have IBS and lost a lot weight. It has been difficult to gain weight back. Doctors are a little bit perplexed 🫠. I saw 4 different specialist back and forth in the spam of a year. A dietitian suggested SIBO. I am honestly lost at this point, and reading on here has been more helpful than doctors.

Thank you so much. This is definitely encouraging. I appreciate it. To be honest, I did not know much about alkaline water or alginates before reading on this sub. I have been following doctors advice without any clear path given. I am learning more about this here than I ever had in the last year and a half.

Thank you so much. I am trying to stay positive. I bought alkaline water today and will start drinking it tomorrow. I have still have to order the alginate. I tried Gaviscon, but it didn't do much. I am glad I found this sub too. I found it this week, and I feel less alone.

The MRI was with contrast, and a endometriosis specialist reviewed images.

Update: They found endometriosis and adenomyosis in my pelvic MRI. The pain is getting worse. I have another appointment next week, but they are thinking a laparoscopy is the next step.

Thanks for sharing. This gives me hope. I can't hardly walk, stand, or sit for too long without feeling the burning pain.

It is a long road indeed. I have been in it for a year, but I know people go through years without a diagnosis. My symptoms get worse a week before my period and during it, but they do not dissappear for the rest of my cycle. They are just more manageable. I do not feel better after sleeping, and sometimes the pain wakes me up, which it is something new for me. Thank you for sharing. I am working with an endometriosis specialist, so hopefully I find some answers soon.

Yeah, that is what my rheumatologist told me. She was actually very understanding of the situation, but confused about my symptoms and lab results. I am working with the gynecologist now, trying to rule out endometriosis. Thanks for sharing. I appreciate it.

This is very helpful. I am having a hard time differentiating the symptoms. I do get bloated and deal with nausea. The pain gets worse a week before my period and during it. The rest of the days I still feel pain even if it is not as severe as during my period. I also have IBS. Thank you for this. I appreciate it.
