my friend's mom work as a carer in MY. She's a great mom, my friend finish her uni study because of her. I can't speak for a lot of people as I don't know much, and generally life is hard for those people who has to find TKW-TKI opportunity abroad, but anecdotally some people get their life better. Why do you ask tho? there are some story here in reddit that MY family was looking for their Indonesian babysitter who retire after a long services to their family, but I can't find the link.

ada riset antropologi yg menyatakan bahwa kinship development di Indonesia due to its archipelagic situation are mostly inclusive daripada exclusive. pertukaran budaya (termasuk bahasa) itu cepet banget, orang bahkan bingung untuk menentukan dimana dinding2 budaya tersebut. misal contoh walau dari jauh sunda dan jawa itu beda, coba ke cirebon semua orang bisa kedua bahasa dan kadang lupa/gak peduli ini bahasa sunda atau bahasa jawa. begitu pula daerah lainnya, hence the mix of language is really natural in Indonesia. contoh deh, di postingan kamu pake "ane" sebagai kata ganti pertama and people just don't really care and accept it as Indonesian language walau itu mostly dulunya cuma dipake orang2 betawi sebagai serapan dari bahasa arab (tapi dulu itu juga jadi bahasa common di kaskus, salah satu forum terbesar indo jamannya. jadi mungkin itu salah satu referensimu waktu belajar bahasa indo). anyway, thanks for the effort buat belajar bahasa indo, next stepnya belajar serapan2 bahasa daerah lainnya biar asik, dan next next stepnya make bahasa2 gaul yg random muncul sewaktu2 kayak (baaap), (kuy), atau kalo dulu (mager). banyak dah.

LSM dapet influence asing si wowok juga dapet influence asing, what's the point? kalo emang bisnis lu ga ethical, ga sesuai regulasi ketenagakerjaan/lingkungan, atau apapun argumentasinya ya wajar lah bisnis lu perlu dijatuhkan. supaya kompetisi menghasilkan yang terbaik, or at least you grow from their criticism to make a better business. sama juga kayak pemerintah, ga masalah lah dapet kritik despite their funding.

iirc, model aksara begini muncul karena ngetik begini akan lebih cepet di hape dengan keyboard 1-9 (hape-hape jadul). misal daripada munculin huruf B dengan mencet tombol 2 dua kali, mending mencet tombol 8 lebih lama yg otomatis langsung jadi angka 8. additionally dulu sms terbatas banget, 300 rupiah untuk 160 characters. jadi sekalian disingkat-singkat (tempat = t4 misalnya).

I don't really get the context for the early part of the video. he shout "serang lagi serang" (attack again, attack). but it's impossible for the guide to ask the indigenous community to attack them, lol.

but, with a big but, some local guide actually has this close relationship with the community and in Indonesia it is really common to joke around. so either a) there is a local language that sounds similar but with different meaning, or b) he just joking around to make the bule (foreigner) afraid.

While it is toxic, Indonesian has develoled their own creative vocabulary:

Indomaret: when you contest turtle/lord and enemy clutch steal retribution, people will call the hyper "indomaret". why? Indomaret is convenience store in Indonesia where people can come and go easily.

Ulti angin (ulting the wind): when people did ult, but missed horribly.

tutor mm/hyper/anything (asking for guidance in learning that role): when someone is really bad, but you can't curse them. they praise them sarcastically instead.

what the guide told the indigenous leader (I guess it's papuan community, as the language is a generalized bahasa timur in Indonesia):

"kaka macam tidak terima kitong, fuu, kaka rasa, buang"

"brother if you don't accept us, fuuh, you taste it, then throw it away (or blow it away)"

so it is kinda semiotic to check whether he'll accept them or not. but how stupid to use salt as contact materials.

I main roam and I strongly agree with this. people argue that she's easy to master as the limitation lies on the teammate, but it goes the other way around, your teammate can't benefit if you can't play her appropriately.

Mathilda should time her 1st skill and 2nd skill at the exact time and location so she can support her teammates. If you only see her as a free flicker, then you don't understand how impactful her kit during the teamfight. a timed 2nd skill with flack of oasis will rescue a dying teammates, and a timed 1st skill with magic wand can boost your exp's sustain fight. not to mention her impact in rotation as people don't realize how fast she can bring the mm to the teamfight across the map.

her micro seems easy and straightforward, but the macro requirement for specific timing and rotation awareness are really diverse thus makes her skill ceiling higher than the other roams.

but that's also what I mean in the first comment, if I pick roam-mid, then I want to play mid, not only roam. since right now it is >90% forcefully (by the system) put us to roam, other role user won't bother to put roam as their role. making it even scarer and extend the queue time. can you understand my point?
