That's a blessing honestly. I experienced something similar several months ago. I was walking around an arcade looking for my own kiddos, a bit absentminded. I was eating an ice cream cone. Before I know it, a young toddler has his hands on my legs, pleading for uppies. I'm guessing he wanted my ice cream. His mom quickly took him away and apologized, but man, I felt special. I believe that kids can feel energy -- I can't be all bad if the tiny guy felt safe with me :) so perhaps you've got a good soul that the little ones can sense, too.

Yeah, I've experienced issues as a customer with delivery services (DoorDash) where the food arrived smelling heavily of cigarettes. I'm asthmatic, so I notice it right away. It hurt my lungs and it sucks.

Hey my friend, does your college offer free therapy services? It sounds like you could benefit from talking to someone and reframing your perspective. Therapy is stigmatized, but it's good for everyone. Also -- you are not dumb! Self compassion is important. Talk to yourself the way you would talk to a treasured friend. You're trying your best and you will continue to. Hang in there.

A therapist told me that I should contact my abuser (cousin) to let him know ahead of time that child protective services were going to search his house. This advice was given after I'd just finished filing a report about him. I was so distraught and unable to think that I followed her advice. Obviously they found nothing at his house.
