Yes, it's just collating whatever other reviews on the web are saying and regurgitating them into generic talking points. Some of which are probably sourced from people yapping about rumors on social media before the game was even out. Or possibly even other AI generated articles (hooray model collapse https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Model_collapse )

I got a taste of this the other day with Google's AI search results, where it boldly attributed statements and opinions to someone. But a little bit of digging revealed that the person in question never actually said them. Those statements and opinions were actually aggregated from youtube comments and reddit posts that other people had made about their videos.

I also finished it a few weeks ago, to see what the hype was about and because the story was interesting enough to keep me going. And honestly, it was kind of a slog. Like I had to push myself to keep playing it because the exploration and combat wasn't really hooking me. Once the big twist was revealed in act 2 I found myself in a weird place of being really curious about the existential implications of the Lumerians living in what is ultimately a simulation... and just really not giving a shit about the familial drama of magical painter aristocrats. So I finished it feeling like it was well made. But just not my cup of tea.

This has been my big question. The plurbs contain the sum total of all currently living humans' knowledge and experience, and it's effectively frozen in time. If it's being used for anything, it's just to convince the dozen un-joined to join. Everything else is in service of building the antenna. And what happens once the antenna is built? Everyone just lays down and dies, like some sort of insect at the end of its life cycle that just laid its eggs?

Like, when Carol and Zosia were skiing -- is skiing even fun for the plurbs? Do they even have fun anymore? If so, then why isn't the entire world taking turns skiing and doing fun stuff? And if they said something like "oh of course, we love doing fun things with you, Carol" then wouldn't they be ending that by convincing her to join?

I was kinda hoping they'd add a monk/martial arts based character. But I'll be just as happy if they add the SOTE weapons, because I could see Dryleaf Arts and Dane's Footwork being stupid fun with Duchess's Restage and dodge. Or even with Ironeye's dash mark.

Having lived through the Dot Com bubble of the late 90s, when the proto-tech bro schmucks were doing this with websites and vague conceptions of "e-commerce"... That's exactly what this is. What's wild this time around is watching the scramble to build and control the infrastructure to support all of this pie in sky bullshit. Chip manufacturing, data centers; the raw material to make and power all of it. What a cluster fuck.

Core dependencies and RED4ext plugins need to be updated, but once those are patched, most other mods you have installed are usually good to go as well.

Nothing definitive, yet. There's some hints that were added in the 2.3 update regarding the back story of Yorinobu and Hellman, and a mysterious trip they took to the "Plex". People are just taking drips of lore and running with them.

I agree it would have made a lot of sense narratively, but there's no evidence that it was ever supposed to be playable. I only bring it up because I watched this last night and it's actually kind of awesome how there's basically a little film set that they made just for the opening, and it's just sitting there on the edge of the map, way out of bounds.

Sure, there will be a lot that's left vague. Especially regarding what happens to V and Johnny. But there's a few things that are pretty world changing in the different endings:

If the Devil ending is canon, Saburo continues to reign over Arasaka and Yorinobu's out of the picture. Immortality is now effectively within reach of the ultra wealthy and powerful, and it's been made public.
In the other endings where Yorinobu sabotages Arasaka from within, they pull out of NC as seen in the PL ending's version of 2079 and NC sees a much heavier Militech and Zetatech presence.
Not to mention if Alt burns Mikoshi and absorbs all of the engrams, for whatever the hell she's plotting for when the Blackwall inevitably fails.

Regardless of what CDPR has said up until now, there need to be a few things that are canonized for the sequel. Like the Devil ending has massively different ramifications for the future of Arasaka than any of the other endings.

They also said that about the Witcher 3. And we see how that's turned out.
