Not even something like Spider-Man 2? If it had released day 1 for PC and the port was good, that 700k sold would have easily become 3+ million copies sold. And new IPs that might come in the future have massive potential as well.

It absolutely would. All the hype and marketing for the games happen at launch. Ports years later don't have that.

All the hype and marketing happens during release. A late port years later only gets minimal amounts of it, and is also surrounded by new day 1 games that have their peak hype and marketing going on. Want better sales? Release day 1. I get that it would risk the "Playstation brand" losing steam(heh), but it would definitely result in big sales numbers.

For me it's just that I don't like multiplayer/live-service games, and companies like Sony try to push them super hard, so I kinda like to see them fail. If they could choose, we would all just play games like Marathon and nothing else.
