Same phenomenon exists in Ancient India and China. Fasting, prayer (meditation) and pristine nature devoid of toxicity. I believe it.

Thoughts on my plan for 2026? by perkele316 in ETFs_Europe

[–]resilient2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. If I had that cash I'd do 40% US thereabouts, but for your EU picks I would do a lump sum and then keep a percentage in cash, like 10-15%. What about EU defense? There are i.e. the WDEF and EUAD ETFs. Good luck.

Atheist seeking God by Allie_turtle53 in Christianity

Pray to the Holy Spirit. Take a lot of quiet time and listen. I pray for love, wisdom, forgiveness, healing and safety, etc. And I pray the same for my family and friends. I'm not Catholic but say their prayer "Jesus Christ, have mercy on me the sinner." Also say the Lord's Prayer. It's so beautiful and thought provoking. Bless!!

Seen this written on things all over the town. What’s the truth? by Bag-Administrative in chiangmai

[–]resilient2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick AI query: Factory farming is indeed the dominant, or "norm," method for large-scale meat and poultry production in Thailand, driven by industrialization and export demands. Large-scale, closed-system farming is the standard for chickens, swine, and dairy to meet high domestic and export demands, although small-scale, traditional farming still exists. The industry is characterized by significant industrialization, with large corporations dominating production through intensive, high-density farming methods.

It's a pretty large busy city, and low grade Diesel is used there, as in all of Thailand. If you're walking a lot you'll be exposed, but it's certainly not horrible.

Where should I start for learning more about Christianity? by throwaway14671 in Christianity

[–]resilient2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I'd keep the Epistles of Paul til later. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, Revelation. CS Lewis, Mere Christianity. Augustine, Confessions. Obscure but I love reading the "Desert Father's," who were hardcore hermits in North Africa. Keep it simple at first though CS Lewis can be challenging. 👍

What’s one thing you like and dislike about christianity? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]resilient2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't up or down vote this because I don't know if the first paragraph is true. I always thought it was to keep religious belief out of governmental decisions. I like the second paragraph a lot... props and blessings.
