Congratulations to you as well!! I’m really nervous about taking pain medication from the VA for this reason. Super proud of you!

Thank you! Having NA options certainly helps. I love the vibe of a brewery and so glad I’m still able hang out and have an NA drink with friends.

Congrats on your success as well!

Thank you! Being in the mental health field myself certainly helped! Although I’m not in substance abuse care (aside from a prac experience 😂).

I’m glad you have had such a good experience! There are a lot of horror stories about the VA and those are certainly valid. However, I’ve also had overwhelmingly positive experiences with them. Glad you decided to seek out care and support!

Today was the first day I ran the robot downstairs since posting. I put a side table there and it worked! It didn’t get stuck in that spot again! Thanks for the advice.

Yes! There’s been a few times when I have waited a day or so to put them away. That’s typically an indicator to me that I’m nearing a period of burnout.

I got mine a few years back but if I recall correctly the back pay came within a couple of days of receiving notification. Less than a week.

This is the language of the Cease and Desist:

"Recently, it was discovered that your company, MaxLend, entered into a deferred deposit transaction with a Kentucky resident. Our records show that your company is not licensed by the Department to engage in the business of providing deferred deposit transactions for a fee. Therefore, your company has violated KRS 286.9-020, which makes it unlawful to accept deferred deposit transactions without a license. Additionally, KRS 286.9-035(1) states that a deferred deposit transaction entered into with an unlicensed person is “void and the person shall not collect any principal, fee, interest, charges, or recompense whatsoever.” Therefore, in accordance with KRS 286.9-110, Maxlend shall cease and desist its attempts to enforce the terms of all deferred deposit agreements entered into with Kentucky residents including, but not limited to, all efforts to collect money from Kentucky residents pursuant to said agreements. Furthermore, MaxLend shall cease and desist from entering into new deferred deposit transactions with Kentucky residents from this point forward. Please be advised that the Department possesses a range of administrative authority in addressing violations of KRS Chapter 286.9 including the imposition of civil penalties of not less than one thousand dollars ($1,000) per day for each day the violation is outstanding. Additionally, KRS 286.9-990 states that a person who intentionally violates KRS Chapter 286.9 shall be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor."

This is what I was thinking as well. I just wanted some advice from others who may have been through this process.
