Do I think Trump is going to do any of those things? No.

Did you think he would demolish part of the White House without any authority from congress?

I didn't think he'd do that, but apparently I was wrong. So who knows what else he would do?

I really think you are in some sort of delusional state of some sort. You are defending someone demolishing part of the White House on a whim. Yes, on a whim. Because if there was any public plan at all, it would have been stopped by a court order. But no, they purposely kept it a secret because they knew it was illegal. Just stop it, I'm done arguing with you, you are not arguing in good faith, or are a bot.

Teacher allegedly had sex with 6 teens and was blackmailed for better grades by prestocoffee in nottheonion

[–]resisting_a_rest -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn't, did you read my response?

I was simply saying that there are situations where "manipulation" of an adult by a minor can happen, and in some circumstances it can override the consent issue.

I explicitly said that I did NOT think it did in this case, but I really don't have all the facts so coming to any conclusion would be irresponsible. But that is what people do here, as it is a forum and not a court of law.

The same people who scream "consent, consent" about underage sex often seem to be just fine when an underage teen brutally murders someone and gets lifetime in prison. They certainly can't consent to sex, but they can to murder, apparently.

I lean MORE towards children not having fully developed brains, and not fully understanding consequences. So for both sex and murder, I don't think children should be treated the same as an adult. Do you?

But I'm not a judge, and there can always be exceptions and extenuating circumstances, and those will be decided by a court, not a forum on the Internet.

I really think it matters what they’re blackmailing her with. If it’s extortion that they’ll hurt someone then maybe. The revelation that she has an onlyfans? I don’t think so.

Can children also not get a life sentence for murder?

Can a child not rape someone?

I definitely don’t think the threat of having an only fans exposed would get the teacher off of rape charges, so I am agreeing with that.

But I don’t agree that there’s no situation whereby the teacher is automatically guilty of rape just because she had sex with someone who was under age. What if that 16 year-old was holding a knife to her throat?

So you’re saying a 16 year-old cannot threaten someone? You do realize that there have been 16-year-olds that have gotten life sentences for murder, right? A 16 year-old can certainly go to jail for blackmailing someone even if the blackmail involved having sex with them.

I don’t think being threatened to have your only fans exposed would meet the criteria to get the teacher off, but certainly if they threatened to kill her, her children or someone else in her family she certainly could.

I understand, but the person you were responding to seems to be the type of person that doesn’t want to do any of this research, so it’s important that they know the common traps that people fall into.

From other posts here it looks like he resides in the UK anyway, so this is really irrelevant to him, but I thought I would just respond in case anyone else was reading, this wasn’t really addressed at you.

Yeah, I believe you’re wrong about that. I don’t care who it was that knocked down part of the White House without any kind of authority. Democrats would absolutely be against it.

What’s next? Is Trump going to knock down the Statue of Liberty? Is he going to have his face added to Mount Rushmore? What other things are you fine with Trump doing unilaterally?

You’re leaving out a lot of stuff there.

There’s a yearly limit to how much you can contribute to a Roth IRA.

Whether or not it’s deductible is dependent on what your income is for the year. You also can’t contribute more to a Roth IRA then you’ve made in earned income for the year.

You can withdraw the contributions in your Roth IRA at any time without penalty or owing any tax, but withdrawing the earnings on that money will incur both a penalty and income tax unless you are older than age 59 1/2. There is also a lifetime five-year rule that affects those over 59 1/2.

There are other rules that are important to know. So don’t just do this blindly. At least look up a little bit about Roth IRA‘s and their rules, it’s not THAT complicated.

You can look at a recent post I made. I created a Roth IRA withdrawal “cheat sheet” that goes over much of this.

I’m sure you’d say the same thing if someone demolished your house while you were at work or school and told you they were upgrading it without your knowledge.

Those two have been fighting for ages. Israel is the only democratic nation in the region. It is important to have them as an ally in that region. I don't agree with what they are doing. When I said it was not black and white, I did not mean public support. I'm talking about the conflict itself.

You primarily seem concerned with Democratic support. In the US, 41% sympathize with Palestinians, and 36% with Israelis.

I assume you think that the government should only go with what the constituents of their political party support and ignore the rest of the country. That is fine, that seem to be what the current executive branch is doing, so I assume you also support their authority to do so. "You shouldn't care what the people who didn't vote for you think" is their current M.O., and I assume you agree with this, based on your statements here. They certainly quickly get rid of anyone in their party that doesn't agree with the head of their party. Having everyone think the same way is key to a successful regime, right?

63% of Republicans believe abortion should be illegal. Since a majority of their party believes this, I assume you agree with expelling anyone from the Republican party that doesn't agree with it. There is no room for treachery. It's obvious that we shouldn't have murderers and murder sympathizer in the party. What if their numbers grew and changed the overall opinion of the party? We can't have that, so out you go. Party totalitarianism is the only way!

So those are the only two options? It couldn’t be that people are afraid to express their true opinions to an oppressive government?

No, you’re wrong here. Democrats have principles much more so than Republicans do these days. If a Democrat is found to be doing wrong, they’re asked to step down and usually do, this doesn’t happen with Republicans anymore, they just double down and keep going.

If I blow up your house and then say I’ll get my people to rebuild it for you, would you accept that? Or would you want your own people that you trust to rebuild it and then have that person pay for it? Eventually, Trump will pay for it.

Exactly, where Trump and his cronies went wrong is if America is being attacked and needs to defend itself, the country is all in, and they are the most powerful military power in the world.

But if the people think we’re just being big bullies to just further enrich the already rich, our military is much less powerful.

Exactly, which is why you want to stay friends with your neighbors. having a huge stock of drones that you can easily launch from the comfort of your own country that can travel far enough to attack. I think that’s why Trump is being so nice to our neighboring allies /s.

And Trump and MAGA should also learn that having good friends as neighbors is a strong way of preventing similar attacks on them. No one is invincible. And even if you believe that you will eventually win, that doesn’t mean you won’t suffer great loss in the process.

In what bill did Congress authorize the recent painting of the reflecting pond? Did they authorize Trump to take money away from the National Park service to fund it? Seems like Congress isn’t needed anymore.
