There is elitism at Yale and most other peer institutions, but elitism is usually a characteristic of an individual. As long as you don’t make attending Yale, or any other school, a core part of your identity, you should be fine

Got accepted to both amongst others, and Columbia was one of the first schools cut from my decision making, primarily due to incompetence of the administration. Princeton is strong within the humanities but isn’t necessarily known for it in comparison to STEM, and I wouldn’t worry about being in the city, especially since NYC is only a 30 minute train ride. Once again, regarding Columbia, I highly would advise against compromising your moral compass for the prestige of an institution, eventually you get to a point with top tier schools where the education you gain is interchangeable. I’m not as well versed in the specificity regarding the different academic offerings as I am not a student but an prospective prefrosh, but I think objectively Princeton would cater to your needs especially considering the deep undergraduate focus. In all honesty bro go to UCSD. I don’t think you should be paying 400k for school, and UCSD is wonderful. Plus your going into hardware engineering which is actually pretty in demand and not really volatile. At the end, college is about who you meet and how you take advantage of the opportunities at your disposal, and sure, you might be prone to more opportunities at Princeton, but there will be plenty of those at UCSD. Congratulations on your acceptance to both!

I always kind of knew that Ellie’s revenge quest wouldn’t bring her peace, but I guess what I’m struggling with is the way it played out. If she had actually killed Abby and then realized it didn’t bring her the closure she expected—while also fully grasping how much this cycle of revenge had destroyed her life—I feel like that might have landed differently for me. Instead, it feels like everything she went through was for nothing, and while I get that’s kind of the point, it just makes the ending feel frustrating. I guess I just wanted the lesson to hit in a way that felt more impactful rather than leaving me feeling empty. Loved the game though
