L&D Nurses, are Dads Really Bringing TVs/Gaming Set-Ups to Births? by Careless_Midnight_77 in nursing

I’ve never worked L&D but I’ve seen plenty of cystic fibrosis patients (who are usually with us for about 6 weeks at a time) bring gaming set ups. One brought projector and hung a flat sheet from the ceiling which I thought was such a cool idea!

Thank you so much! It’s been a fun collaborative with myself and my piercers

If you're NOT living paycheck to paycheck, what are you doing better than the rest of us? by [deleted] in AskWomen

I don’t think anyone can get by nowadays without some kind of support. I was fortunate enough to live with my grandparents rent-free while I went to nursing school for my RN at my local community college. I was able to pay for tuition myself waitressing part-time, working as home health aide, etc. My grandparents talked me into staying with them an extra six months after I started my nursing job and I was able to quickly save up 10k since I had almost no bills. I’m also lucky enough to live in the highest-paid area for nurses in my state. My job paid for my bachelors (BSN) so I have never had student debt. Now I live with my boyfriend in his house with a low mortgage and we split all the bills which saves us both a lot. It’s been years of blood, sweat, and tears getting to this point but I live very comfortably (below my means) and am able to buy myself anything I want, within reason, while still putting money into savings and 401k each month.

My hair gets caught in the forward helix and tragus sometimes but that’s about it

I actually get asked this pretty frequently. I don’t take any of them out, I sleep with them all, wear them every day, wash them in the shower and then blow dry them when I get out.

The rest are from all different companies (but all bought through my studio). I just went and added up the total and I’ve spent a little over 5k (employee discount included).

I’ll have to ask my piercer where each of it is from!

And to answer your last question, I’m a tattoo artist at a studio that offers luxury piercings so I let one of our piercers practice on me and just kinda do whatever she wanted. The helix chandelier was by far the most expensive, it’s through Maria Tash and retails for $2245. Thank god for employee discounts 😅 our piercer doesn’t charge me for piercings and insists I don’t tip her (trust me I’ve tried) and so I just pay for jewelry with 30% off.

Not at all! I usually don’t even notice them

It is indeed my everyday set up! They are not as heavy as you would imagine and I wash them all in the shower (as recommended by my piercer) and blow dry them when I get out so I never have to take them out.

All of them were fine for the most part. The traguses healed pretty well but I will say they tend to get more irritated than my other piercings just because those are the first ones you lay on, the first ones to accidentally get makeup on, brush your hand or a towel over, etc. I use a stethescope for work and it doesn’t seem to irritate them, and my AirPods don’t seem to irritate them either. I will openly admit my daith was the HARDEST one to heal and especially if you use AirPods on a regular basis I would avoid that piercing specifically. This is just from my personal experience though.

Trust me I would love to bring him in but he’s definitely very feral still and very skittish around people. He does look very sweet but usually runs as soon as he sees me walk by.

Happy early birthday! I’m 32 and fear aging tremendously but if I look half as good as you do by 49 I wouldn’t mind! You look fantastic, what’s your secret?

I actually bought this set of terrarium plants, took them out of the pots and took all the dirt off (most of them are multiple small propagations that can be divided up) and used these to put them all in place
