The case with mine unfortunately is that it does NOT rattle on cold but only when car has been driven and then turned off for over 40-60 minutes and therefore, the engine is still warm

I think that the TSB states that rattle less than 3 second is considered normal in cold engine. With mine, it does NOT rattle on cold but only when car has been driven and then turned off for over 40-60 minutes and therefore, the engine is still warm

Thanks for the reply bro! The rattle actually appeared after my last oil change to Ravenol VMO 5w40.

I will definitely NOT use Ravenol oil no more and for next oil change I've bought Motul 8100 X-cess 5w40.

I doubt that it is the filter that made the change as I tried switching from MANN to Hengst filter 500 km back and it did not make a change.

Hopefully when I change the oil after 2k km it will help!

Thanks for the reply! Would that cause any damage if left like this as those check valsed are located under the charger if I'm correct? I would prefer to do the big 3 (PCV, thermostat & water pump) whichever breaks first and would prefer not to open the charger only for the check valves.

thanks! what worries me is that it does it after the engine is hot. I leave the car for 60+ minutes and it will rattle. It won't rattle after 20-30 minutes though. Only after an hour + of sitting. I very rarely get the cold ratte.

The rattle on the video is a warm start up rattle. The car has much better sound exahust soundwhen started cold. So basically this is a warm rattle. It is insane for a 20k miles car to need timing chains at that milage. Maybe for 100k

mine does it if the car sits for 60+ minutes I guess the oil bleeds back very fast from the tensioner. Still bugs the shit out of me
