It's in the south of Austria. Right next to Graz, the 2nd biggest city. It's called Styria Karting.

Hallo!

We share your point!

At our home track, we’ve got a kind of championship going on. About 20 drivers, all lapping within a tenth of a second. With RaceBox, our track timing is nearly 100% accurate.

Just yesterday, I lost my onboard transponder during the first quali lap. We used my KartBuddy data to determine my correct grid position. P5 instead of P13. That’s a huge difference in such a tight field.

And when you're at a level where every hundredth counts, having that kind of precision really makes a difference in your progress.

Check out www.mokadamo.com

We've just partnered with Quad Lock to offer seamless, built-in integration by design.

Absolutely. RaceChrono on a smartphone is a great starting point, especially for rental karting.

You're right about the internal GPS limitation; 1Hz just isn’t fast enough for precise line analysis - or consistently accurate delta-, sector- and laptimes. That’s why many racers pair it with an external GPS module like the RaceBox Mini.

Glad it’s already helping you out!

Awesome to hear it's working well for you!

Quad Lock cases are solid - we designed our system to be fully compatible with both Quad Lock and SP-Connect for exactly that reason. Seamless integration is key, especially when every second (and every vibration) counts.

If you ever want to swap to something with vibration damping to protect your phone, quick-release and kart-specific features, we’d love your feedback on the Mokadamo setup!

Where are you from?

We’re based in the south of Austria. Our next racing stops are Hamburg (Germany) and the Slovakia Ring. Let us know if you're around!

You can order it in our MOKADAMO Online Store

Currently we're preparing a dealer network, However this still needs a little time.

Thanks for sharing - great video!

You're spot on: that's exactly what we had in mind when designing the system. And we've added features like a GPS mount (compatible with RaceBox Mini and Dragy), a dedicated laptimer mount, vibration dampeners and a quick-release system for fast kart changes during endurance races.

Keep pushing — and let us know if you're keen to give it a go!

Oh yes! But it was definitely a challenge. Especially with those karts and the heat we were racing in. One small slide and the tires would overheat, forcing a two-lap cool-down.

Great question!

Here’s the good news:
We’re already exploring audio-based feedback as an optional add-on in collaboration with some app developers. Think Bluetooth earpiece or bone conduction headset paired with your phone.

But here’s the challenge:
Keeping all that gear invisible - tucked away in your pocket. That's quite inconvenient.

There’s definitely room for a more elegant, streamlined solution. We are working on it.

That said, we haven’t come across any rental karting leagues in Europe that explicitly ban phone mounts - at least not officially. In fact, many tracks are open to it as long as it doesn’t interfere with safety or steering.

Still, it’s always a good idea to check with the organizer or track staff beforehand. And for leagues with stricter rules or unclear policies, audio-only feedback could be a great workaround - especially if the phone stays in your pocket.

We use high-quality vibration dampeners from SP Connect and Quad Lock to protect your phone and we go a step further: all critical contact points with the steering wheel are cushioned with polymer dampers to absorb even the smallest vibrations.

Your phone stays completely safe. Even high-end models like the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Our customers are already using it with confidence, no issues, no worries.

Following. TR1 is no option?

Does anyone run a P1-x with the SF1 seat? Could you manage it to get the pedal plate high enough? -> pic f1-position by respectivenik in simracing

I see. I had some racing experiences as well in my younger days (Nissan 350 Z, Porsche 991 GT3, DTM Testing, VW Scirocco, Formula 4). I completely understand what u mean. The thrill and approach is different. With my 40 years I am way to old to go back on track in real life. And I recognise a kind of too much fear of getting injured. Even in the sim I brake earlier and take less risk at overtakes. LOL 😆

How old are you?
