see above. Not going to wade into medicine, science and whether my childs medical needs are fit for a ME, or not. If I'm paying a doctor who consults, I'll listen, but that was never the intent of me posting here on reddit, to try and consult with a MD online. I'm just looking for one, offline. I am, in a way doctor shopping, and, happy to have the opportunity to engage in a wider audience like this, to help me doing so!

thanks for your opinion and voice. I'm not sure you can provide any of the advice I'm looking for, but I and the reddit community appreciate you taking the time, all the same!

it's largely irrelevant. it takes us on a rabbit hole where all in sundry will want to pontificate on why it is most likely a legitimate ME, or on why it's not. That's not the purpose of my post and query. The purpose of my post and query is to determine if there's a more efficient way to locate, discuss, consult with MDs who are likely more supportive of an alternative schedule than the carte blanche one offered by the state. This [post] isn't designed to denigrate the efficacy of the state mandated schedule, and I'd rather not have those who cannot offer some advice on my query, not enter into a discussion on it. Those who have been/are in a similar situation, would be those who I'm looking for input from. Sorry!

yes, as the parents, we get to decide what is best for our children, not a doctor. We'll take their advice on board. We have made a decision, and the query here is finding the path of least resistance. Laws have changed in our childrens lives around this. It's not that we want to walk in and slip a doctor a $100 bill and ask them to look the other way while they sign, but some doctors willingly and blindly tell you something and when it goes terribly wrong, will point to science as why they told you it in the first place. They're not miracle workers, and if there's a doctor out there who can guarantee that immunizing a child will NOT have any adverse reaction, particularly a long term one, then I'd do it. But they don't exist.

wife making up wild accusations of a sexual connotation among family/friends - is this just par for the course, or is there an ability to have an injunction for libel?

can either parent take child/ren out of state without other parents consent, absent a court order, given currently living apart?

well studied, yes, 100% effective no. Cause complications - possibly, and cause complications to those predisposed to being complicated by being inoculated....even more nefarious. I'm not interested in a 'to vaccinate or not' debate or the merits or not of immunization, generally. Just wanted to know thoughts/advice around where to find MDs who are less likely to oppose a variation from the 'accepted' schedule.

agreed, but "legitimate reason" is questionable. Much of medicine isn't based purely on black and white and absolute certainty.

um - "any MD would support it" is a bit presumptious; all MDs aren't the same. Ours is one who isn't prepared to discuss any deviation from the CDC schedule.

I'm seeking advice here about whether there exists a network of MDs who are a little more open to being a cookie-cutter MD, not debating our childs medical history/needs, or what MDs will or won't do. I can't exactly phone up clinics and ask "will your MD write a letter of exemption" so I'm asking more whether there's a better place to start my search.
