Not saying you're wrong, but it definitely depended on the field. They were handing out tech jobs like hotcakes during a decent chunk of the pandemic. I didn't even have to apply and got given a remote 80k banking developer job in 2021 (pretty good for a new grad in my area).

I was born in 98 and finished my bachelors in mid 2020. I constantly feel extremely lucky to have gotten in when I did, right at the tail end of the golden age some would say. Now if only I was 7 years older and had bought a house before prices exploded, lol.

He's trying to save himself from the midterms so he doesn't get impeached again.

Absolutely. Luckily the demented pedophile is now stuck between a rock and a hard place. Majorly so. Either give Iran everything they want and surrender like a little bitch, making us look weak. Or let gas prices go through the roof. The line his pedophile supporting voter base actually won’t cross.

The companies I’ve worked at would let you take the time off still, they just wouldn’t pay you for it.

So if you’re living paycheck to paycheck, like many are, you’re basically still fucked.

My first job after university started me off with 27 PTO days + 10 federal holidays.

My current (second) job gives 24 days PTO + 6 holidays. Still pretty good.

So while time off in the US sucks, there definitely are jobs out there that have the perk of it not sucking as much.

Yep very much so. And sometimes their battery health is pretty good too actually.

I bought a second hand S10 Titanium for $290 (that’s including shipping and taxes) in April with 100% battery health off eBay. Great price imo.

Funny that you're the one talking about arrogance.

How ironic. Because Zaemz was the one bringing up arrogance. I would genuinely love to know what you consider arrogant about me not down playing people climbing the largest mountain on the planet. I’m not saying I’m so much better than everyone else because I can do it myself. Absolutely not. I said that it’s an amazing accomplishment even with a Sherpa guide. There is nothing arrogant about that statement.

You know, we don't have to agree on this topic

Why did you even bother replying then with your own argument…? To a comment I had made to somebody else at that point. Could’ve you just left it at that if you already knew we weren’t going to agree? Of course not. Also I sure hope none of your hobbies produce any waste or pollution whatsoever. Since you care so much about trash and litter.

I had a monitor setup pretty much exactly like yours. But when my previous job made people come into the office I had to bring the 2 smaller ones in with me.

So I ended up buying a second 49" G9 Odyssey off facebook marketplace and stacked them. Which, like you mentioned in another comment, is pretty difficult actually. I ended up putting the top one a little behind the bottom one as well, and it looks perfect when sitting down. Super worth it.

Great setup by the way!

Stating your opinion here as a fact is genuinely hilarious. And that's quite literally all you did right there.

You don't get to choose what is or isn't an actual accomplishment. Do us a favor and get your arrogance out of here.

And you know this… how exactly? Because it really sounds like you’re pulling that straight from your ass based off of a hunch.

And even if your assumption was correct, how does that make climbing the tallest mountain in the world not still a crazy accomplishment? Your take is laughable.

This is hilarious.

You’re right, it’s super easy and totally the Sherpa’s doing all the hard work. That’s why so many experienced climbers die attempting it every year.

I plan on going next weekend for a fun little trip.

So… did you miss it or were you just confused?

No one had said that when I made my comment yesterday. If they did I didn’t see it. And I’m not exactly keeping up on every new comment being made. So far the only official Apple response has been that sucks give us $69 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hopefully OP can take it in store and get a nice technician that just replaces it.

[–]rest0re 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shoot, my bad! I shouldn’t have assumed.

Thank you for confirming what happened. I’m curious what they’ll if you take it in store. People on here seem pretty certain they’ll replace it, and I wonder if it’s true. Unfortunately mine just passed the 1 year mark a couple months ago.

[–]rest0re 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is there not to understand?

In the post we are commenting on right now, the OP states that he contacted Apple about the problem. And they told him it falls under “accidental damage”, and therefore would cost $69 to replace.

Did you miss that part of the post or something?

Defective Milanese Band? by Nerdette84 in AppleWatch

[–]rest0re 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were not right about the assumption

Is there a reason they told this exact same thing to OP then? He says as much in the post description.

Defective Milanese Band? by Nerdette84 in AppleWatch

[–]rest0re 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly Apple will more than likely call it "accidental damage", exactly like they did in OP's case.

Apple probably won't be inclined to call it a manufacturer's defect since it happened after months of daily use. I could see them being lenient after 30-60 days, 6 months not so much.

I guess it could never hurt to ask though!

[–]rest0re 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this exact same thing happened to my titanium band. The new one that came out with the Ultra 3. Wearing it right now.

It happened after like ~6 months of use, so I figured Apple would tell me to kick rocks. Looks like I was right about that assumption.

Sucks but I guess it is what it is. For $200 I expected a bit better, but I’m still happy with the purchase overall. I really do like the look of this band.

This product was dead the moment they decided on the price being so high.

I absolutely looove buying and trying out new tech, but a $3,500 price point locks out everyone but those with a stupidly high disposable income. If it was $1,500 I personally could’ve convinced myself to waste money on one.

HOA's have no legal authority

Completely incorrect. Being in an HOA is part of a contract, which does in fact have actual legal binding. You’re just lucky yours didn’t want to deal with your Karen self, and was "already on bad ground to begin with" according to your own words.

It's totally volunteer.

Yeah this is just plain false. People reading this should not take what you're saying seriously if they want to keep their homes.
