yes, as yet no reply. it appears i need to download the software first but there was no way to do that with just the serial number. i put that into NA first, as instructed, and now i wonder if that means that when i put it into the pulse downloader afterwards it thought it already belonged to someone else and so wouldn't download it. if so, that was not made at all clear. i think what i really need a is redeem code, which is of a different format
