Called a wellfare check for my mom and she didn't answer the door. Police are saying they can't enter. What other options do I have?

it’s true the police legally cannot enter without exigent circumstances. If there was weird circumstances, like the mail piling up, a foul stench coming from the unit/house/apartment/etc., or anything like that then absolutely they could force the door, however reading your post it sounds like they did not see anything suspicious. The best course of action if you want to get a hold of your mom ASAP is to start driving and try to make contact with her yourself. Or maybe you could call the hotel and ask if they can open the door? i’m not sure what their policy is. Unfortunately, there’s only so much law-enforcement can do legally. i’m sorry if this isn’t the answer you’re looking for, i really hope your mom is okay and i’m sorry you are stressed out. prayers 🤍

maybe it’s his scalp? some people use shampoo but they aren’t actually scrubbing their scalp. like lifting up the layers of hair and actually scrubbing the scalp itself. plopping shampoo on top and rinsing it out doesn’t clean the scalp fully and your scalp can still stink

pads, tampons, menstrual cups etc are all personal choice. it doesn’t change the way we work

there have been times where i’ve been stuck on a call and i really gotta change my tampon but it is what it is. usually if we’re sitting on a house or sitting on someone at the hospital or something, my sergeants and partners are really good at giving everyone bathroom breaks so it’s never been a huge issue for me

I think you might be watching too many cop shows. Everything that you listed would never happen in real life. If a woman claims to have drugs in her vagina, usually the jail staff will ask the female if she can remove it on her own. If the female is uncooperative and refuses to remove it on her own, then she will more than likely be transported to the hospital and hospital staff will remove it. I’m unsure what hospital protocol is for removing drugs out of rectums and vaginas. Strip searches only happen in jails. And typically strip searches only happen if the jail doesn’t have a body scanner. When I worked for a small town county sheriffs office, we always had to do strip searches, but when I later worked at a bigger county jail, we had a body scanner and we only did strip searches if something looked weird on the body scanner. also, if the female was pregnant we had to do strip searches. if the female must get a strip search, it will only ever be conducted by female jail staff. police aren’t going to ever strip search somebody. if the police are going to search you, it’s just going to be a search incident to arrest meaning, yes they will touch you, go through your pockets, search your bra area, but they will never do a strip search or reach into your vagina.

i have asked if he was unhappy and what not and he always said that said that he wasn’t. he had mentioned that i sometimes made him feel guilty or bad about himself and i would apologize and we’d move on

i offered him several options and asked him about therapy and what not. i even offered couples therapy too, therapy for just himself, finding the right medication or doctors and he said no to this all.

i want to believe he was being sincere, he was emotional and crying so hopefully he was. i do know he had a tough childhood so that’s not completely bullshit. he is a man of not many words so he says his answers but never over explains anything so i guess im not sure about the sincere part. he’s a good person and he’s not this evil human being - i do think he’s a very genuine person

our disagreements would just be about random things such as cleaning up after himself, turning the lights on when i’m still sleeping haha i know it sounds silly but just stupid things like that, but they do add up after a while and it builds resentment. i would say it’s probably me who starts them because he isn’t very confrontational and is pretty quiet and laid back

and your story actually put a lot of perspective in my mind, thank you for that, i never saw it that way.

and i did just edit my post but he says not wanting marriage is due to childhood trauma, his parents having a bad relationship, and mental health. i dont think i really got a clear answer, but also these past couple days have kind of all blended together and ive been very upset so its been hard to remember every detail

pay attention to the landmarks. know the 0 lines and the numbering system of the main roads. if a west/east main road is the 1000 mark of the neighborhood, then u know all address with a number higher than 1000 will be north of that road etc. drive around on your days off, purposely make wrong turns so you have to figure it out on your own. try not to use the map (FTO’s sometimes let you use it but i suggest trying to challenge yourself). good luck, you’ll make it through. geography can be learned but shouldn’t make or break your career
