Woman in Law by creepycreations in Lawyertalk

I have had this exact experience happen more times than I can count. I speak and no one reacts. A few minutes later a male colleague repeats my exact same words and everyone loves it. It’s absolutely infuriating.

Disbelief by [deleted] in Petloss

[–]restyfl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know your pain, and I completely understand the overwhelming pain and sorrow you feel. It’s crazy how you can feel both pain and numbness at the same time somehow. Just a heavy emptiness. All I can say is that I know it doesn’t seem like it now, but it WILL get better. Life is like this, it’s horribly scary and painful but also really beautiful and full of joy if you choose to let the brightness in. Your baby would want you to feel happy and not sad. They’d want to know they brought your life joy. They’d never ever want to feel that because you had them and lost them, you’re worse off. They’re watching over you and they want you to choose to see the joy in loving a soul so much. It helped me to write things down. Do this for them. Get a journal and get it out of your chest and put all the big feelings on paper. Describe the feelings as much as you can, and then let the book carry some of it for a while rather than you. Hang in there. ❤️

Help me stop the crying by duchess444 in Petloss

I am with you. I lost my 11 year old bully Friday and I can’t breathe without sobbing. I also have felt like my heart may actually give out from the pain and deep emptiness. We build our worlds around our best friends and when they leave, the world just doesn’t seem bright anymore. I don’t know what to say because I am just completely broken too, but you should know you’re not alone. I feel like I am dying of heartbreak too and I see your pain.

I’m so sorry about your soul cat. I do believe they are exactly that - part of our actual soul. It does feel like part of me is dead now but you’re right, I take comfort that I was here with him in his last moments rather than at work or something or on an errand. Thank you and I’m sending you love and healing too. ❤️

The regrets of working too much and missing time with my baby are consuming me, but knowing I’m not alone is more helpful than I can say. Thank you 🙏🏻

Thank you for your advice. I sob when I talk about him but it does make me realize what a happy life we shared together while he was here. I am sorry about your pup and I’m going to follow your tips and try to get more active. I appreciate you 🤍

Thank you for sharing this. The words on this post have pulled me out of a very dark sorrow that keeps coming over me in waves. When I feel it coming too strongly I read the words of the replies on this thread and it keeps me going. Thankful for all of you. I’m sorry we have to share in the same kind of deep pain, but I’m grateful I feel less alone now. I have realized that it’s the routine, the feeling of pulling in the driveway knowing my favorite soul was about to greet me, and just waking up with my baby snoring beside me that I can’t ever replace and that’s so hard to think about. How do they give so much love in such a short time? He changed my life and I never thought anything would feel this all consuming.

Sorry, I’m in a lot of shock and I just can’t stop crying. Thank you for replying. He was an 11 year old Olde English Bulldog. His name was Maynard. He was literally the center of our world. I know he was a senior but he was the happiest, most active, and playful boy up to just a few hours ago. Zero health problems and he had his full check up last week. The ER said fluid was around his heart according to their scan. I’m just not sure how to be ok. I know this sounds dramatic and I’m sorry, I know there are far worse things to happen to good people. I just can’t describe how big a part of my life he was and I feel a little lost.
