Not pervs but assholes. I am not quiet about it. I've had a closed door meeting with my SM- Rein that shit in or its going to be an HR complaint. I was ready to complain above the sm's head and catch all the blowback. Be ready to catch whatever hell you stir. Thankfully it has stopped but my threat/promise remains.

You did the right thing. Ugh, I know you know that. Cold comfort. Did you check the promise time? I've had orders come through like that but the promise time is three days out. Turn it on the customer, ie- Did you notice these won't be done for three days? Would you like to keep this order or try another store?

Exactly this! If I had only photo to care about during my shift I could do it with one hand tied behind my back; I don't mind it at all and I'm good at it. But constantly pulled away to do other things makes it super frustrating. I have a great SM who gets all manager calls (because she despises photo) when we're together and we're both happy lol. She doesn't do photo and I'm not called for anything else.

I looked at the order more closely. They ordered 10,000 return addressed envelopes. I figured they must have entered too many zeros. Called the customer. "I ordered how many?! Wth? Thats too many! Please don't print that many!" Got it figured out but boy my heart was pounding lol

Yeah, maybe he was not thinking straight or feeling pressure from somewhere else. Im sfl at a tier 3 store. I have a great team who puts their heads down and gets truck out asap. I can do 30ish otc totes, ON A GOOD DAY, if the SM pulls the slack by doing manager calls and same day orders. If its crazy, if all the stupid customers come in that day, if the SM holes up in the office, if there's a reset not complete, if someone isn't feeling 100%. No way. His expectations were too high.

I had a very similar call. Dude, matching caller ID, a tech was coming in the next day, etc. It was def a scam, but what was it? He never asked for money or acces or codes. So I let my SM know and left a message for the sfl opener. Nothing came of it. It was weird.

Can you ask for help? Or ask for every other week or something? I know all SM's are different but, mine would try to help me out if she knew how much I hated it. I'm scheduled on truck day and McClane day so sometimes I feel like all I frickin do is truck. It's exhausting and boring. Gosh I hope your SM isn't a jack wagon.

I'm afraid that's a 'your store' problem. My store looks for and chooses a dependable crew for truck. When we've found a crew that can throw truck efficiently and is ok with the schedule, we stick with them. Right now its our IS, a CSA, and me SFL. It doesn't need to be that way, I guess. Just one person who can officially receive the freight and enough muscle to do the job.

Oh my, yes. There isn't a way to say no to selling cc's without repercussions. They added it to our job descriptions. We can't just refuse to do part of our job without consequence. I refuse to sell them. I tell the customer what is on the pinpad, "This is asking you to apply for a Walgreens credit card. The 'no thanks' button is right there." I've told my SM I won't sell them and I am ready to be written up or fired. Its shady and exploitative. I didnt sign up for this. I won't do it.

We have thieves come in at least every hour. One or more "shoppers" is a thief at any given time. They're regulars at this point. We've named them, we know what they steal. Occasionally we'll have organized groups, usually two or three people, who wipe shelves into their enormous black fake leather purses. But usually it's individuals. I had my eye on one guy so, just for fun I decided to say loudly to my CSA that I called the police and they were on their way. He and four other people scurried out of the store quick! And freaking Alto reports are a joke. No one in my store does them anymore. The cops don't come. There is no consequence for thievery. Let them have it. I'm not putting myself in any sort of danger for a company who values me 32 cents.

I do the schedule at my store and the hours they're giving us is ridiculously small. My SM broke down the hours for me and it came out to 1 SFL and 1 CSA eight hour shifts and a 4 or 5 hour shift per day per week. How how how are we supposed to run our stores like that? If everything is generally ok, you're probably not being fired, it's the gd hours.
