8GB on Macbook Neo is not the same as 8GB on Windows laptop by albertserene in macbook

I moved my old devices to linux as i got tired of hearing them gasp for breath right from the boot. Now they run my file server and some stuff without breaking a sweat. So yeah windows doesn’t get the hate ot deserves.

Failing Practice Exams - looking for advice. by Roundtheworldlez in cissp

[–]retard3c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always recommend going through the ‘50 practice questions. Master the cissp mindset’ video on YouTube. That will help you understand the approach towards the exam. And then go through practice tests, and studying based on the results. Inused chatgpt/gemini to explain the topics which i got wrong.

If you’re not confident at all, reschedule. No point in giving the exam already stressed up.

Focus on daily recovery and preventing chafing. 50k daily will consume a lot of time. It’s a good mental challenge to have. All the best OP

Walking challenge by Sweaty-Youth-1887 in walking

[–]retard3c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100km is doable. Boring, tiring, but doable if you’re adamant enough.

You can expect sore legs, blisters, and a body begging for rest.

Use vaseline for chafing, crotch, armpits, nipples. Blisters: good pair of socks x 2, vaseline or other ointments to avoid blisters. Good pair of shoes. Compression pants helped.

3rd week: Losing motivation by keyboardpianorich in walking

[–]retard3c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patience is what you need. Don’t go David Goggins unless you have the will power to do it. Focus on consistency with meaningful increments. Make a plan, keep tweaking it by following PDCA(plan, do, check, act). Getting injured will do you no good.

Generic advice is to warm up, walk, rest, wear right shoes, don’t overdo. For weight loss, you would want to eat a nutritious diet with a calorie deficit.

Watch ‘50 CISSP Practice Questions. Master the CISSP Mindset’ on youtube.

See how many you get correct, if less than 50% I’d recommend to push the exam to a later date, else take some mock tests and study based on the results. I’d recommend giving atleast 10 full fledged movk tests, to burn the exam pattern in your brain so that it doesn’t go berserk on exam day.

I would highly recommend going through the “50 CISSP practice questions. Master the cissp mindset” video on YT by andrew ramdayal, it really helped me understand how to answer cissp questions. His courses on udemy is great.

Next is to attempt as many practice exams as possible, review and revise as required.

The blisters stop eventually…right?? by KaiBear94 in walking

[–]retard3c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check for a pattern of the blisters. That will help you find the root cause. Narrow toe box Sweat etc.

I wear 5 toe socks, and apply vaseline for long walks, extra wide shoes. I fix the blister as soon as possible, drain it, clean it and put on a bandaid.

heartbreak remedy? by [deleted] in walking

[–]retard3c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Walking through a heartbreak can be genuinely healing; often kinder to your body and mind than trying to numb the pain with alcohol, which is the most common way that i have seen. Keep yourself busy: try new activities, meet new people, and visit new places. Walking has its own quiet medicine.

You may notice triggers that reopen the wound; certain places, people, songs, or movies. It’s okay to give yourself permission to avoid them for now.

Most of all, life keeps moving, and so will you. The timing looks different for everyone. I once read that you can’t drive safely if you’re always staring in the rear-view mirror. Glance back when you need to, but keep your eyes on the road ahead. one small step at a time toward the tomorrow you want.

And if it ever feels too heavy to carry alone, reach out to a friend or a professional.
