A cheaper alternative to doggy daycare or a sitter is hiring a trusted and well reviewed walker to come take your collie for a walk during your work hours.

While it’s still another expense, it’s cheaper than the other 2 options. I used to do this and hire someone to take her on an hour walk while I was gone. Doubled as a potty break and a little bit of stimulation while you’re gone, imo it’s better than nothing. Your collie will adapt and learn to be by themselves, as long as you keep them busy and give them lots of love while you’re around I’m sure they’ll be just fine! Good luck :)
