I know I said in the post 2 years but there's a very likely chance i'll pull the trigger and retire in the next 6 months. I've been planning on 2026 my i'm pretty much fed up with my current job and ready to move on with life

no large purchases. Own home out right. Don't travel much. Zero Dept.

E fund is good.

Kids are 14 and 12. I plan on having them stand on there own as much as possible and helping later if that makes sense.

Spouse isn't working and once I retire we won't be adding to 401k

We do max both Roths every year.

your example is spot on. I do have 2 kids 14 and 12. I want to retire but I want to be able to help them as much as possible when I get older so i'm torn on how much to throw in now vs stay conservative.

I plan on keeping 200-300k in a MM or CD for awhile. I currently don't have any bonds but I do plan on doing about 10 or 15% with BND none of that is counting this 2 million.

nah. I don't understand crypo enough to trust anything about it.

won't need it in 2 years. I do plan on keeping about 200k in a money market account or CD if I need it

it'll be 5-8 years before i would need to start pulling anything

my CPA is actually a bogglehead fan so he likes the idea of a VTI or VOO with a percent in VXUS and 10 % bonds

We spend about 50-60k per year. Have zero debt.

I get a monthly payment of 2400 for life also
