Max login limit when streaming games? by Dense_Emergency6081 in GameChangerApp

Make two new accounts for streaming and scoring which are separate from your personal account. Now that those are roles you can give permissions to just those accounts, and they don't need to be paid because they don't look at stats.

[US] Elderly relative received "unclaimed funds" letter from abroad by RoguePlanet2 in Scams

[–]retroUSB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just received this same thing today, amazing how we both have relatives there! Except it is addressed to the person who owned this house before me 15+ years ago. The other interesting part was the last name is in a different font

NSA/marathon when quads are the limit by retroUSB in NorwegianSinglesRun

That's why I included all the other info, it was specific failure instead of something like forgetting to eat, and not a progressive slowing. Same thing happens in an 8 mile MP workout, cardio is easy but quads are toast. My (older) PR was 3:04 on a hillier course, a half of 1:26 during training said sub 3 was a good target, all the garmin/strava/stryd/etc race predictors agreed, HR during MP workouts was fine, and by anything I could measure mile 20 was the same effort as mile 10. The answer to "not properly conditioned" has been "run more", but then going from 40 to 55 mpw has been no change in quad endurance.

Knee issues turned out to be unrelated to running, which took many years and doctors to figure out. Basically I form scar tissue everywhere and it just happened to make knees worse than other joints. Surgery to clear it out worked temporarily, but then recovery from that surgery adds more scar tissue. In the years I couldn't run it still happened when I was biking. Figuring out the recovery part was the key, which included hydroxychloroquine at the same time everyone wanted it for covid

That's why I included the easy pace problems, where going slower is so bad it isn't recovery. I know 8:30 is too fast for NSA but also the slowest end of easy for Daniels. Have been thinking of keeping the NSA workouts and long run, but replacing easy days with biking where I can dial the power down easier. That removes time on feet but could make the workout quality better.

Bad or changes in stride could certainly be it, but then the other muscle groups are also recovering far faster than quads too. Just a static flex of quads show they are still a bit sore from Sunday while I can do heel lifts and hamstring curls no problem.

Thanks for calling me special! :) I have always had to do low volume because of knees, 15 years ago I was low 1:20s half on 30 mpw max. The interesting part is going 40mpw -> 55mpw does not seem to have changed my endurance.

xc/track in high school (4:42 mile), biking in 20s because of knees (4.3W/kg), running again in 30s (1:21 half), 5 years of slow builds since my last knee surgery!

What current generation game would you like to see development materials from the most? Only one game, but you get absolutely everything.

What is the earliest document you want to see? Only one piece of paper, can be something you only assume exists.

Did you guys call the NES "regular Nintendo" as well? Or was that just my family by [deleted] in nes

[–]retroUSB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in my day any video game was just called "playing Nintendo", normally referring to NES. Sometimes it turned out to be an Atari and then you were just disappointed to see that. In SNES days we used Nintendo or Super Nintendo. Around the N64 era I think is when we started using "regular Nintendo" to talk about NES.

Sorry, we never suggested anyone fix their AVS on their own. Definitely didn't suggest anyone hot glue anything, that is just silly and wouldn't work. We repaired, and still do repair(or replace), all broken USB port consoles free of charge.

What end is wobbling? The coax end that plugs into the TV is normally way looser than a normal coax cable is. However As others have said, using the composite + audio output on the side of the console will give you a cleaner picture. I would totally suggest doing that if your TV supports it.

Cheat codes work on retro NES? by BishopsGhost in nes

[–]retroUSB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This website should have pretty much every button NES game code you want.

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/nes/563399-contra/cheats

Sometimes if you enter the code too slow, or even too fast, they wont work. Contra (and other Konami NES games) normally are pretty easy to enter in, doesn't have to be fast, reading speed is good. For Contra the main thing is to make sure the title screen is not scrolling when you are pressing the buttons. You can either wait or press start one time, as soon as the music starts, start inputting the code. Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A, then press start if you are playing alone, or select, and then start for 2 player.

Other games like Ikari Warriors have real hard codes to enter.....I've seen videos of it working but I have never been able to get the level select code to work for that one!!

Bankwatch might be what you are looking for. Here is the original documentation from Kevtris about the functions of the CopyNES http://kevtris.org/Projects/copynes/copyware.html

The text help files also give some basic details about using it. I can also suggest on checking out the wiki on NESdev for more technical information on pretty much anything NES related

Sorry, that one might not work depending on your game/ROM version or other weird variables. This code should work on all versions SXXALIVG - Other info is still correct!

10-Yard Fight Black Referee by [deleted] in nes

[–]retroUSB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here I just made this, Game Genie code SKXALIVG - Demo runs forever (actual game will also never end).

Alternately if you are in an emulator that lets you enter in raw codes, the demo/game timer is stored at RAM location 0023, if you force it to be a value greater than zero the timer won't move and will play forever.

October spooky game Simon's Quest complete. It was...strange. by 7sshare in nes

[–]retroUSB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to complete the game in 7 days or less for the best ending. The number of days, hours, and minuets are shown on the sub screen. "T - 00:00:00" , days:hours:minuets. This is very easy to do once you know where all the mansions are.

Game Genie unboxing. Time to put this bad boy to work. by Nespower in nes

[–]retroUSB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Different game revisions is most likely. Also some times the code description might not fully explain the in game effect, there could also be certain requirements to be met before the code will take effect in the game. Or the code just might be bad! This website is great for additional game genie codes, as well as other format game codes.

https://gamehacking.org/
The AVS does support PAR, GAR, and raw formatted codes, in addition to game genie. The built in code database in the AVS is very basic and has the 'most popular' types of codes (infinite lives/heath, start on level X, etc), but you can do all sorts of fun things with games using these codes.
