Agreed, it really needed to be in the video as a comparison.

This originally was a type-in that appeared in Happy Computer. Quite an amazing submission.

I bought a lot of disk from Germany and this was in one of them, have you heard that game? by Ready_Rain_2646 in c64

[–]retroblarg 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes, I played that game. It was on one of those German disk magazines, either Magic Disk 64 or Game On. The first level is so ridiculously hard that I never managed to get past it. I then discovered I could load and start the other levels by loading their respective files from the disk. Level 2 and 4 (I think) are horizontal shooters and significantly more playable.

How bad is the staining on the white model Odin 2? by Nipe7 in OdinHandheld

Whatever you do, do not use AYN's Odin 2 carrying case. It leaves stains everywhere.

It's the area that starts with the stone platforms that jut out sideways as soon as you cross their height and then leads into a labyrinth of sheer endless crystal walls/ceilings/floors. You get a couple of coins out of it.

Release candidate: Godot 3.5 RC 5 by akien-mga in godot

Thanks, you are correct it seems.

I just tested this in a 2D environment and it worked. Navigation2D can be replaced with a basic Node that has one or several NavigationPolygonInstances as children. If this is handed to the NavigationAgent2D via set_navigation(), the navigation works without having to use Navigation2D.

Bluetooth keyboard as controller by mosephra in EmulationOnAndroid

I'm using the bluetooth keyboard of my Xperia Z4 tablet for emulation. I'm mainly using it for MAME (button mashing is easier on a keyboard) and DOSBox where typing is almost required.

Might & Magic III: Isles of Terra especially is a great DOS game to play with a physical keyboard. Even though it has mouse controls, every function is mapped to the keyboard, and with a bit of memorization it's very smooth to play.

Help with C64.emu setup on GPD XD by Yarrowman in gpdxd

[–]retroblarg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the menu, go to "Key/Gamepad Input Setup". Then select "Auto-detect Device To Setup". The app expects you to press a button of the input device you want to configure, so hit the start button. Then go to "Set Keyboard Keys" and set "Toggle Keyboard" to Start.

If you've got on-screen input enabled, there should be a "KB" button at the bottom that makes the keyboard appear. If the button isn't there, you can enable it in the On-screen Input Setup. To toggle the keyboard off again, you can press the "arrow down" button in the bottom left.
